Hawes (Knee) did not play Saturday against Toronto.
Although he was upgraded to doubtful prior to the game on Saturday, Hawes did not suit up against the Raptors. Hawes' upgrade to doubtful indicates that he'll be back on the court relatively soon. An earlier report stated that he'll be participating in 1-on-1 work over the weekend. The Clippers' next game is Monday against the Jazz, so his status for that contest is up in the air at this point.

Hawes (knee) has been upgraded from out to doubtful for Saturday's contest, Dan Woike of the OC Register reports.
Hawes, who's missed eight straight games, is still very unlikely to play Saturday, but the upgrade to doubtful is a step in the right direction. The big man is expected to begin 1-on-1 work over the weekend and will likely return to practice in the near future, barring a setback.

Hawes (knee) will miss his eighth straight game Thursday but expects to begin 1-on-1 work Friday, the Clippers' official site reports.
Hawes was averaging 6.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, 0.7 blocks, and 0.8 three-pointers in 17 minutes per game before suffering his injury. When he returns, he should take on a very similar role. As long as Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan are healthy, Hawes won't get enough minutes to be of use in standard leagues.
Mon Dec 22 201413:15Hawes (knee) will not play Monday against Spurs
Hawes (knee) will not play Monday against the Spurs, Brad Turner of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Hawes likely won't return until Saturday against the Raptors, so this is just an extension of a fairly long recovery timetable for the forward's bone bruise.

Hawes (knee) is dealing with a bone bruise on his knee but is without a return timetable.
False reports surfaced earlier in the week suggesting Hawes could miss the rest of the season, but the veteran refuted those reports, instead stating that the injury is actually healing well. "It's progressing, though," Hawes said. "It's going the right direction. That's what I'm most encouraged by. The range of motion's better, the pain's going down. It's responding to everything we've done treatment-wise and what we've done to try to test it out. Walking easier, got rid of my limp, so things are looking up." Look for further updates on Hawes' status in the near future, but for now it would seem safe to rule him out for at least the Clippers' next two games Friday (Denver) and Saturday (Milwaukee).
Wed Dec 17 201420:55Hawes (knee) will not play Wednesday against Pacers
Hawes (knee) will not play Wednesday against the Pacers.
Hawes was doubtful for the contest anyway, so it's not too surprising to see him sit this one out. Look for Glen Davis or Ekpe Udoh to see a few extra minutes off the bench in Hawes' absence.
Wed Dec 17 201414:29Hawes (knee) remains doubtful to play Wednesady against Pacers
Hawes (knee) remains doubtful to play Wednesady against the Pacers, Dan Woike of the OC Register reports.
Hawes has missed the last two games since sustaining a bone bruise on his left knee in Friday's game against Washington. At this point, it seems unlikely he plays Wednesday, though he's yet to be officially ruled out.

Hawes (knee) will not play Saturday against the Bucks and is considered doubtful for Monday's game against the Pistons, the Los Angeles Times reports.
An MRI on Hawes' ailing left knee revealed a bone bruise, and it sounds like he'll miss at least two games as a result. Ekpe Udoh and Glen Davis both figure to see increased run in his absence.
Sat Dec 13 201412:37Hawes (knee) doubtful for Saturday's game
Hawes (knee) is doubtful for Saturday's game, the Orange County Register's Dan Woike reports.
He suffered a bruised knee in Friday's contest, and while X-rays were negative, he will likely need a few days to rest up. Look for Ekpe Udoh and Glen Davis to handle the reserve minutes in the frontcourt Saturday.
Fri Dec 12 201422:38Hawes suffered knee bruise Friday and X-rays were negative
Hawes suffered a knee bruise Friday and X-rays were negative, the Orange County Register's Dan Woike reports.
He will be reevaluated Saturday, and should be considered day-to-day for now. Hawes is averaging 6.6 points and 4.5 rebounds in 17.5 minutes per game this season, so he only has value in deeper leagues.
Fri Dec 12 201419:57Spencer Hawes: Leaves With Knee Injury
Hawes suffered a bruised left knee in Friday's game and will not return, the Orange County Register's Dan Woike reports.
He will get X-rays Friday, but if it is just a bruise he shouldn't miss much time. Consider him day-to-day for now.

Hawes wasn't able to get much going offensively, but he was able to remain active on the glass for his team. He finished the game with five points (2-7 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT), ten rebounds, and one assist in 24 minutes.
Hawes isn't playing big minutes, or having the same kind of season he enjoyed when he was with the Sixers. However, he's a guy who still finds ways to contribute for his team in a limited role. Leading up to this game he scored seven three-pointers in four games, while also blocking seven shots. While they're not huge numbers, they are useful to those in deeper-leagues, while also an indicator that if given more minutes he could explode for bigger totals.
Tue Nov 11 201405:47Spencer Hawes: Playing Through Foot Strain
Hawes (foot) played through his foot strain, posting nine points (4-6 FG, 1-2 FT), two rebounds, and one assist in 14 minutes versus the Spurs.
Hawes will be limited by the injury in terms of minutes, and has seen Glen Davis enter the fray as well. Davis only played four minutes, but had three rebounds and four points, and could continue to eat into Hawes' workload going forward. Monitor the situation, but Hawes is still the player to own off the Clippers' bench.

Hawes is dealing with a left foot strain but is still considered probable for Monday's game against the Spurs, the Orange County Register reports.
Hawes will be on a minutes restriction moving forward, although the exact specifics are still unknown. However, he played 12 minutes Saturday with the injury so it's unlikely that he'll see more than 20 minutes on the court until his restriction is lifted by the Clippers.

Hawes was able to tie for the team lead in scoring on Sunday, as he finished with 17 points, four rebounds, one 3-pointer, one block, and one steal in 23 minutes.
Hawes hasn't been seeing the same kind of minutes he enjoyed last season, when he put up career numbers on the Sixers and Cavaliers. Still, it does seem like Coach Doc Rivers is looking to find ways to play the gifted center in an attempt to fortify his front court. DeAndre Jordan and Blake Griffin remain the players you want to own from this group, while for the time being Hawes remains a deeper league option only.
Mon Oct 13 201417:45Spencer Hawes: Looks Good Against Trail Blazers
Hawes scored 15 points to go with six rebounds in bench duty against Portland on Sunday. He added a trio of three-pointers in the contest on six attempts.
While it was presumed that Hawes would take a significant hit in fantasy value as a reserve for the Clippers, he looked like an asset against the Trail Blazers. He still does not carry the same type of statistical upside that he had last season, but it is clear that he is going to be a contributor for the Clippers this year, and has the skill set to play next to DeAndre Jordan and/or Blake Griffin if given the opportunity.
Thu Jul 10 201400:24Clippers sign C Spencer Hawes
The Clippers officially signed FA C Spencer Hawes to a four-year, $23 million contract early Thursday morning.
Hawes will be a very serviceable back up to DeAndre Jordan and is a worthy starter if DJ gets hurt. But serving as a back up will hurt his fantasy value next season.

Sun Jul 6 201412:12Report: Blazers offered Hawes same contract
The Trail Blazers reportedly offered Spencer Hawes the same exact contract (length and terms) he received from the LA Clippers.
It appears Hawes would prefer the spotlight of LA, to a smaller market in Portland. Hawes will serve as a backup in LA, and a repeat of last year's statistical performance cannot be expected while playing under DeAndre Jordan and Blake Griffin.

Fri Jul 4 201419:40Spencer Hawes signs deal with Clippers
Spencer Hawes agreed to a four-year, $23 million deal with the Clippers on Friday.
The Clippers gave a ton of minutes to DeAndre Jordan and Blake Griffin last season, so they absolutely needed a big man. Glen Davis was basically their best backup big last season, so it makes sense to pay a little more than market value on Hawes. His fantasy value takes an enormous hit here and he's not worth drafting in standard leagues.

Thu Jul 3 201414:58Spencer Hawes meeting with Suns on Thursday
Spencer Hawes is visiting with the Suns on Thursday.
The Clippers are believed to be the favorites and want to use their mid-level exception on him. The Suns do have the second-most cap space in the league and could offer Hawes more money and also need a center, so it's really up to them on how they want to play it. The Blazers are also in the mix. Hawes would have the most fantasy value on the Suns.
