Johnson's play has been on a steady decline since he arrived in Brooklyn in 2012, but he remains a dependable scoring threat. Set to turn 34 in June, Johnson no longer gets to the basket with ease, and his game is more reliant than ever on jumpers. For the third straight season, fewer than 10 percent of his field goal attempts came from within three feet of the basket, per Basketball-Reference, while a career-high 28.1 percent of his attempts came in the 3-10 foot range. Johnson was also heavily reliant upon long-range shooting, with more than 32 percent his shots coming from beyond the arc for the fourth season in a row. Johnson had a solid series, but it wasn't enough to help the Nets beat the Hawks. He finished the regular season averaging 14.4 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 1.5 threes per game.
