Sun Nov 21 201005:58Gomes back in the starting lineup vs. NYK
Ryan Gomes returned to the starting lineup after a brief hiatus on Saturday, scoring five points on 2-of-6 shooting (including a three) with seven rebounds, three assists, and two steals in 38 minutes of action.
He has not shown any fantasy value this year while getting this type of playing time, so we don't have any reason to believe things will change this time around. He's waiver wire fodder until proven otherwise.
Sun Nov 7 201001:53Gomes plays 49 minutes with little impact
Ryan Gomes logged 49 minutes on Saturday, but still managed to score just eight points on 2-of-13 shooting (1-of-6 from deep) with four rebounds, three assists, three steals, and two blocks.
Sure, the steals and blocks are nice, but even when he is getting touches he's not making any headway with them. If he can't crack a nice line in 49 minutes, that's all you need to know about Gomes.
Sun Oct 31 201021:07Gomes starts, does little else
Ryan Gomes started and played 24 minutes on Sunday, scoring seven points with five rebounds.
Gomes continues to start, and he continues to do little with the opportunity. Let him wade in your league's free agent pool.
Thu Oct 28 201001:44Ryan Gomes returned to action on Wednesday October 27
Ryan Gomes returned to action on Wednesday October 27.
Thu Oct 21 201018:33Gomes sits out practice with knee injury
Ryan Gomes sat out Thursday's practice nursing a knee injury.
He could have some minimal fantasy value if the Clippers suffer an in-season injury, but we wouldn't plan on drafting him.

Tue Oct 19 201021:57Gomes to miss Tuesday's game w/ knee
Ryan Gomes missed Tuesday's game with a sore knee.
He should be ready for the start of the season, but should only be targeted in very deep leagues, as long as Blake Griffin is healthy.

Mon Oct 18 201019:28Gomes (knee) questionable for Tuesday
Ryan Gomes (knee) is questionable for Tuesday's preseason game, but the injury isn't serious according to beat writer Lisa Dillman.
The Clips will likely give rookie Al-Farouq Aminu a start, while keeping Rasual Butler in his normal role off the bench. None of the three are good fantasy options, and until one of them creates separation from the others all of them should be avoided on draft day.

Sat Oct 16 201023:48Gomes, Butler still struggling on Saturday
Ryan Gomes continued to struggle in the box score on Saturday with just five points, no rebounds, one assist, and two steals in 28 minutes.
While some preseason performances should be ignored, the Clippers have been using a rotation similar to what will be used in-season. His counterpart, Rasual Butler, hit 5-of-7 shots tonight (with a three) for 11 points, and is probably a better option. Both should be ignored in most leagues.
Fri Oct 15 201003:08Gomes starting so far at SF for Clips
Ryan Gomes has started at SF for the Clippers throughout the preseason, but continued to fade into the background with just six points on 3-of-6 shooting (no threes) with four rebounds, three assists, and two steals in 33 minutes.
This is actually his best line of the preseason by far, and his competition for minutes, Rasual Butler, hasn't been much better outside of one 20-point performance. It looks like the Clips like Gomes starting and Butler off the bench, but neither has earned fantasy consideration so far.
Mon Jul 12 201017:18Gomes to play for Clippers next season
Ryan Gomes, who was traded to the Trail Blazers and then waived, was signed by the Clippers on July 8.
Gomes will get some run in L.A., but is still not worthy of a draft pick until the final rounds of most drafts.

Tue Jun 29 201018:08Blazers officially waive Ryan Gomes
The Trail Blazers have officially waived forward Ryan Gomes, thus clearing salary cap space.
Portland never had any intention of keeping Gomes, but they were hoping to get something for him via trade. No deal materialized and he was dumped for financial reasons, but he's talented enough to catch on with another team in free agency.

Tue Jun 29 201009:37Raptors interested in Gomes
The Raptors have significant interest in Ryan Gomes, according to the Toronto Star.
Gomes is likely to be either traded or waived by 3 p.m. on Tuesday in a money-saving move by the Blazers. There's not much upside with Gomes, but he can score and rebound well out of the small forward spot. His fantasy value in Toronto would depend on Hedo Turkoglu's final location.

Mon Jun 28 201012:41Blazers weighing all options w/ Ryan Gomes
The Trail Blazers have until 3pm on Tuesday to decide whether to release Ryan Gomes -- they are currently weighing all options, including trades.
Portland will almost certainly waive or trade Gomes -- by releasing him they would save cap space and get a $4.8 million trade exception.

Sat Jun 26 201000:36Report: Blazers set to release Ryan Gomes
The Blazers plan on releasing Ryan Gomes, who came over in a trade with the Timberwolves on draft day.
They're looking to avoid paying him the remaining three years of his contract and Gomes isn't even scheduled to travel to Portland. Gomes is too good a player to sit out for long, so expect him to be picked up by another team this summer.

Fri Jun 25 201000:04Ryan Gomes traded to Blazers
Ryan Gomes was part of a draft-day deal that will land him in Portland next season.
Gomes and Luke Babbitt are heading to Portland, while Martell Webster will play for the Wolves next season. Gomes could have some value with the Blazers, and will fight Nicolas Batum for the starting job.
Sun Apr 11 201022:42Gomes scores 18 points in blowout loss
Ryan Gomes scored 18 points on 4-of-9 shooting (including two threes) with four rebounds, no assists, and a steal in the Wolves' blowout loss to the Hornets on Sunday.
He is scoring just over 18 points per game in his last four games, but outside of one game in which he had seven rebounds and six assists, he has been virtually useless outside of scoring and getting about a steal per game. We wish we could say we believe in this burst, but anything can happen in Minnesota.
Sun Apr 4 201023:35Gomes scores 22 points vs. Thunder
Ryan Gomes hit four 3-point buckets on his way to 22 points on Sunday, finishing with a 7-of-13 mark from the field to go with three rebounds and no assists.
His production over the last month has hovered just below being valuable in deeper leagues, and we don't see any reason that would change. Look for him produce numbers that are closer to his 11-point, five-rebound average for the month of March.
