Thu Feb 27 201402:55Dorell Wright starts again for Blazers
Dorell Wright started again on Wednesday and had four points, six rebounds, five assists, a block and a 3-poiner on 1-of-4 shooting in 25 minutes.
It sounds like LaMarcus Aldridge could return on Saturday, which would send Wright back to the bench. He played fairly well in LA's absence, but didn't really do much in fantasyland. And it looks like his run is about over.

Tue Feb 25 201423:52Dorell Wright plays well in another start
Dorell Wright started again on Tuesday and had 12 points, four rebounds, two assists, a steal, a block and two 3-pointers on 3-of-5 shooting in 27 minutes.
He's been starting for LaMarcus Aldridge (groin injury) and has posted some decent lines, and might get a boost if Thomas Robinson's knee injury suffered tonight turns out to be significant. Aldridge is due back soon from his injury, but Wright's future value likely depends on T-Rob's knee. Stay tuned.

Thu Feb 20 201402:25Dorell Wright starts, scores 10 for Blazers
Dorell Wright started on Wednesday with LaMarcus Aldridge out, and had 10 points, five rebounds, two steals and two 3-pointers on 4-of-8 shooting.
Wright will be worth a look over the next week or so with Aldridge nursing a groin injury, but should fade quickly once Aldridge is back in action. We also suspect that Wright (20 minutes) and Thomas Robinson (23 minutes) will be in a 50-50 timeshare until it happens.

Wed Feb 19 201418:01Dorrell Wright will start for Aldridge
Dorrell Wright will start against the Spurs on Wednesday night in place of LaMarcus Aldridge (groin).
The Blazers will keep their other four starters the same and he'll be out there with Damian Lillard, Wes Matthews, Nicolas Batum and Robin Lopez at tip tonight. He probably won't be seeing too much playing time at power forward and Thomas Robinson figures to get more run off the bench.

Thu Feb 6 201411:32Dorell Wright rejoins Blazers' rotation Weds
Dorell Wright was part of the Blazers' rotation during Wednesday's win over the Knicks.
Wright had only played 16 total minutes since January 4th and rewarded everyone with one of the better post-game quotes of the year, "You know when you were a little kid and you weren't allowed to go outside and you looked at all your friends out there through the window?" Wright said of his return to the rotation. "It was like one of those moments. It was like your mom telling you to get out of your room and go outside and play. So I had the opportunity to go outside." The bad news here is that Wright went 1-of-4 in his 13 minutes Wednesday night, so his return to the rotation may not be permanent. Needless to say, Wright doesn't belong on anyone's fantasy radar for the time being.

Wed Jan 8 201410:45Dorell Wright picks up first DNP-CD
Dorell Wright picked up his first DNP-CD of the season on Tuesday, and he said he knew before the game that he wouldn't play.
According to Wright, he wasn't given an explanation for his DNP and he didn't ask for one. He's said a few times that he doesn't care about playing time as long as the Blazers are winning, which they have been, but it's still surprising to see him drop completely out of the rotation. With rookie C.J. McCollum possibly entering the mix as a reserve, it will take an injury or two for Wright to surface with fantasy value.

Thu Oct 17 201300:07Dorell Wright doesn't do much in debut
Dorell Wright debuted and was in the starting lineup against the Jazz on Wednesday, posting a line of three points, two boards, two assists, four steals and one 3-pointer in 14 minutes.
He has been out of the lineup due to a finger dislocation and got the start with Nicolas Batum in the last phase of the concussion protocol. Wright hasn't been very impressive with his opportunities the last couple seasons, so there's little reason to draft him in almost any league.

Wed Oct 16 201314:40Dorell Wright will get the start on Wednesday
Dorell Wright (finger) will get the start against the Jazz on Wednesday.
His dislocated finger has kept him limited through practice over the past two weeks. Wright really fell off with the Sixers last year, so he'll need to impress the coaching staff to earn more than 20 minutes per game with his new team.

Tue Oct 15 201311:21Dorell Wright (finger) may return Wednesday
Dorell Wright said that his dislocated finger is "getting better" and he may be cleared to play on Wednesday.
"I'm really getting used to catching the ball," he said. "At first, it was really tender ... I think I'm past that stage as far as the soreness and all that. Now it's just getting comfortable catching the ball and shooting." Wright is part of the Blazers' revamped second unit but his fantasy value will be capped by limited playing time behind Wesley Matthews and Nicolas Batum.

Sun Oct 13 201316:04Dorell Wright returns to practice
Dorell Wright (finger) was back at practice on Sunday.
He suffered a dislocation earlier this month, but actually suited up to play in a scrimmage on October 5. Wright will come off the bench and play behind Nicolas Batum, so it's hard to count on him in fantasy leagues, especially after his sub-par year last season.

Fri Oct 11 201313:36Dorell Wright (finger) won't play on Friday
Dorell Wright (finger) won't play in Friday's exhibition vs. the Jazz.
He dislocated his right middle finger and has since missed a few practices, but there are no indications that he'll be out for long. Wright's backup role isn't conducive to fantasy value but he would immediately be worth owning if Nicolas Batum or Wesley Matthews were injured.

Thu Oct 10 201316:10Dorell Wright (finger) not practicing Thurs.
Dorell Wright (finger) is not practicing on Thursday.
He played through the injury on Saturday, but the team has held him out since. Wright is likely dealing with some discomfort since he doesn't have a fracture. He's not worth drafting in standard leagues.

Mon Oct 7 201320:31Dorell Wright (finger) sitting out on Monday
Dorell Wright (finger) will not play in Portland's preseason opener on Monday.
He suffered a dislocation to his right middle finger over the weekend and was involved in the team's scrimmage on Saturday. Wright should be fine and should help the second unit, but his struggles from last year bumped him from consideration in standard leagues.

Sat Oct 5 201316:50Dorell Wright returns from finger injury
Dorell Wright (finger) returned fro his dislocated right middle finger and joined the team for its scrimmage on Saturday.
He must not have done any damage to the finger and may have just jammed it. Wright has aspirations of being a stretch four with the Blazers, but it's doesn't seem realistic on the surface. He was a bit of a flop with the Sixers last year and will have to turn it around to earn consistent minutes on his new team.

Fri Oct 4 201315:33Wright (finger) leaves practice early
Dorell Wright dislocated his right middle finger and had to leave Friday's practice early.
We'll let you know if this will impact him going forward, but like most practice reports this time of year it's possible this comes to pass with little fanfare. Wright is going to have a hard time playing meaningful minutes this year, with Nicolas Batum, LaMarcus Aldridge and a log-jammed backcourt standing in his way.

Fri Aug 30 201314:01Dorell Wright thinks he can be a stretch four
Dorell Wright believes he can be a stretch four with the Blazers.
"I know what I can do. I know what I can bring. But I see myself as a guy who comes in off the bench, knocking down threes, being a stretch-four," Wright said. One season after having the least amount of bench points in the NBA, the Blazers have some nice depth on the wing. The Blazers toyed with the idea of a stretch four with Victor Claver, but it didn't really work out. Wright will have a tough time making an impact in his first year in Portland.

Wed Aug 21 201318:53Dorell Wright says he'll play four positions
Dorell Wright believes that he could see time at every position except center for the Blazers this season.
"I'm a point forward," Wright said. "I make plays for my teammates. I can shoot the 3. I can be an undersized 4, pick and pop and put pressure on the defense with outside shooting." The former Sixer was part of a transformation for Portland's bench this offseason. Most of his minutes should come at small forward, and the team will likely give him the green light to shoot, as the Blazers desperately need scoring off the bench.

Sat Jul 6 201302:36Blazers still in pursuit of Dorell Wright
The Blazers are still in pursuit of UFA Dorell Wright and they expect him to make a decision soon.
He's also been given offers from the Thunder of the one- and two-year varieties. Oklahoma City is almost a perfect fit for Wright since they need a 3-point shooter and they're also a contender with three star players on their roster. The Blazers are going to have to offer a big contract to acquire Wright's services.

Wed Jul 3 201314:19Report: Dorrell Wright visited OKC on Tuesday
Dorrell Wright met with the Thunder on Tuesday and was given one- and two-year contract options, a source tells Yahoo! Sports' Marc J. Spears.
Spears reports Wright received a similar option from the Trail Blazers, but it's unclear if they can unseat the Thunder. OKC is reportedly aggressively pursuing Wright as a replacement for Kevin Martin and the swingman averaged 9.2 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.7 3-pointers per game for the Sixers last season. The Mavs, Spurs and Grizzlies are also interested in Wright, according to Spears.
