Cron for assignment after the slugger hit 30 home runs with an .816 OPS last season.Cron batted .253, slugged .493 and drove in 74 during his first season with Tampa Bay, yet the Rays cut the 28-year-old Tuesday before he entered his second season of arbitration eligibility. MILWAUKEE (AP) — The Cleveland Indians' struggling bullpen is adding a fresh arm with recently acquired reliever Oliver Drake joining the roster.The Indians made room for the right-hander by optioning Alexi Ogando to Triple-A Columbus.Drake joined the Indians for the start of a two-game interleague series in Milwaukee on Tuesday, just in time to face the team that traded him to Cleveland on Saturday for $110,000.Drake was 1-0 with a 6.39 ERA in 12 2/3 innings with the Brewers.Ogando appeared in just one game with Cleveland. NEW YORK (AP) — With banged-up center fielder Bradley Zimmer out of the lineup, the Cleveland Indians have recalled outfielder Greg Allen from Triple-A Columbus.Allen was set to start in center and bat ninth Sunday against the streaking New York Yankees. To make room for him on the roster, Cleveland optioned right-handed reliever Ben Taylor to Columbus.Zimmer exited Saturday's loss at Yankee Stadium after crashing hard into the fence trying to catch Austin Romine's double. He has a bruised left shoulder and hip but no concussion, manager Terry Francona says.After a day off Monday, the team hopes Zimmer can return to the lineup Tuesday night in Milwaukee. He was hitting .234 with two homers and nine RBIs in 31 games.The 25-year-old Allen appeared in two games for Cleveland last month. NEW YORK (AP) — The revolving door of Cleveland's bullpen took a turn for the fourth straight day when the Indians acquired reliever Oliver Drake from the Milwaukee Brewers for $110,000.Andrew Miller has not pitched since April 25 because of a strained left hamstring and will not come off the disabled list Sunday, the first day he is eligible.Cleveland entered Saturday with a 5.11 bullpen ERA, 28th among the 30 teams and ahead of only Minnesota (5.67) and Kansas City (6.07). Indians relievers are 3-8, a big factor in the Indians' 17-15 record.
