Thu Mar 27 201417:35Dunn hits first spring homer vs. Cubs
Adam Dunn went 1-for-2 with a solo home run against the Cubs on Thursday.
Dunn belted his first spring homer in the ninth inning off of Wesley Wright. The slugger has had a forgettable spring and, at 34 years old, his numbers appear to be trending south. He can still be penciled in for close to 30 homers, but not much else.

Fri Mar 7 201420:44Adam Dunn plates two to lead White Sox
Adam Dunn went 2-for-3 and drove home a pair of runs on Friday, leading the White Sox to a 4-3 victory over the Reds in Cactus League action.
Dunn drove home the team's first run with an RBI single in the first inning off starter Mike Leake, then broke a 3-3 tie with another RBI knock in the fifth to put the White Sox ahead to stay. With Jose Abreu and Paul Konerko on the roster, he stands to see fewer at-bats than he's accustomed to in 2014, but his massive power still has value.

Mon Feb 24 201421:09Adam Dunn plans to keep playing in 2015
Adam Dunn indicated Monday that he plans to continue his career beyond this season.
Dunn has said in the past that retirement would be an option after his contract runs out following the upcoming season. It appears for now the 34-year-old plans to keep playing, though he said he probably wouldn't officially make a decision until after Thanksgiving. "Yeah, as of right now, today, yeah. I plan on coming [back]," said Dunn. "Again I could go out and stretch and say, 'I'm done, I'm not having any fun.' But I don't see that happening today."

Thu Feb 20 201419:28Adam Dunn to see some time in OF
White Sox manager Robin Ventura plans to use Adam Dunn in left field some during Cactus League action.
With Dunn, Jose Abreu and Paul Konerko, the White Sox have three players to cover first base and the designated hitter spot. They also have Alejandro De Aza and Dayan Viciedo to handle left field, but Ventura is apparently interested in giving Dunn some innings in the outfield. The 34-year-old has played 10 games in the outfield during his three seasons with the Pale Hose.

Sat Jan 25 201408:31Adam Dunn could become odd man out
Buster Olney of ESPN believes that the White Sox have created a logjam at first base and designated hitter, and that Adam Dunn could wind up being the odd man out and put on the trading block.
Jose Abreu is clearly the team's future at first base, and Paul Konerko isn't going anywhere else for his farewell tour. That leaves Dunn as a strong candidate to be dealt unless the White Sox are planning on platooning he and Konerko. Until the situation is resolved, Dunn's fantasy value is limited.

Sat Sep 28 201323:24Dunn blasts one of 4 White Sox homers in win
Adam Dunn belted his 34th home run of the season, one of four total White Sox long balls in Saturday's 6-5 victory over the Royals.
Dunn finished the evening 2-for-4. His two-run blast off Yordano Ventura increased the White Sox lead to 4-0 in the fourth inning. The 33-year-old slugger is now hitting .219/.320/.442 with 34 bombs, 60 runs scored, 86 RBI and a stolen base in 149 games.

Thu Sep 26 201323:05Adam Dunn hits 33rd homer
Adam Dunn went 2-for-3 with a homer and a walk Thursday against the Royals.
The slumping Dunn has suddenly turned into a part-time player down the stretch here, even though he's far and away the White Sox's leader with 33 homers and 84 RBI this season. The Royals throw righties the next two days, so perhaps he'll start both games.

Mon Sep 23 201321:36Adam Dunn sitting out again Monday
Adam Dunn was not in the White Sox' lineup Monday for the third straight game.
Manager Robin Ventura thinks Dunn has looked tired recently, and the big man's .104/.211/.194 batting line over the last 21 games is also surely a factor. Dunn will be back in the lineup Tuesday. "Just giving a lot of guys some really good looks against some really good teams," said Dunn. "That's the good part about, if there is a good part, evaluating what you have against good competition. That's also the bad part. Some people have to sit and watch. I understand, and it's good to kind of evaluate the kids, too."

Sat Sep 7 201309:44Adam Dunn not in starting lineup on Saturday
Adam Dunn is not in the White Sox starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Orioles.
The veteran slugger is getting a day of rest against opposing southpaw Wei-Yin Chen. Dunn is hitting .225/.325/.445 with 30 homers, 80 RBI and a 69/162 BB/K rate on the year, and has recently hinted at the possibility that he could retire after the conclusion of this season.

Tue Sep 3 201322:55Adam Dunn hints at possible retirement
Adam Dunn told FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal Tuesday that he could retire after the season.
Dunn is just 33, is guaranteed $15 million next season and is within shouting distance of 500 homers, but he indicated that a lack of enjoyment for the game could lead him to walking away. "I'm not coming back just to come back for money or because I have one year left (on his contract)," Dunn said. "I'm not coming back to chase home-run numbers or whatever. If I end up with 499 and I'm not having fun, see ya - 499 it is." It's certainly something to file away, but it's hard to see Dunn giving up a guaranteed $15 million.

Sun Sep 1 201311:29Adam Dunn not in Sunday's starting lineup
Adam Dunn is not in the White Sox starting lineup for Sunday's series finale against the Red Sox.
It's merely a day of rest for the monstrous slugger against left-hander Felix Doubront. He's having a productive season for the White Sox, hitting .228/.331/.456 with 30 homers and 79 RBI in 128 games.

Tue Aug 27 201300:07Adam Dunn hits 30th home run
Adam Dunn reached 30 homers for the ninth time in his career Monday against the Astros.
Dunn took Brett Oberholtzer deep in the sixth for No. 30. His homer pace has actually slowed down as the year has gone on, though his batting average keeps going up. He's at .235 right now, which is a huge improvement considering he finished May at .156 and didn't get over .200 for good until July 4.

Sat Aug 24 201322:50Dunn slugs 29th home run in win over Texas
Adam Dunn slugged his 29th home run of the season Saturday as the White Sox beat the Rangers 3-2.
It was the seventh win in eight games for the out-of-contention Pale Hose, who are doing a good job of playing spoiler. Dunn has an .803 OPS in 122 games.

Sat Aug 17 201300:25Dunn launches solo homer against Twins
Adam Dunn went 2-for-3 with a solo homer, a walk, and two runs scored in Friday's win over the Twins.
Dunn is hitting .313 through 28 games since the All-Star break, though he has just four home runs during that timespan. The 33-year-old slugger reportedly passed through waivers earlier this month, so he can be traded to any team, but his remaining salary would likely be a big obstacle to a potential deal.

Fri Aug 9 201311:28Adam Dunn passes through waivers
CBS Sports' Jon Heyman reports that Adam Dunn has passed through waivers.
He can now be traded anywhere. Dunn is batting .227/.332/.465 with 26 homers and 69 RBI this season but is still owed close to $20 million through the end of next season. Heyman lists the Rangers and Orioles as two teams that might have interest, though the Rangers would prefer a right-handed bat.

Sun Aug 4 201317:29Dunn collects four hits and a homer in loss
Adam Dunn finished 4-for-5 with a solo homer in Sunday's loss to the Tigers.
Dunn's second four-hit game of the season spiked his batting average from .218 to .226. The slugger's awful averages have always hurt his fantasy value, but he's still on pace for 39 homers and 100 RBI. Dunn's 26 bombs rank fifth in the American League.
