Brown is now averaging 4.8 carries per game as LeSean McCoy's caddy. He's still the clear-cut backup, but he's averaging a mere 2.91 YPC. It's a little concerning for Brown's potential value should McCoy go down at any point.

Sun Nov 17 201318:15Bryce Brown rushes four times for two yards
Bryce Brown rushed four times for two yards and added two catches for 28 yards in Sunday's Week 11 win over the Redskins.
Late in the second quarter, LeSean McCoy went down with what looked like a serious hamstring pull. So for about 15 minutes of real time, it looked like Brown was going to be a huge player down the stretch in fantasy leagues. But McCoy came back out for the second half and appeared to be just fine. Brown remains a must-own handcuff and nothing more.

Bryce Brown rushed four times for 11 yards in Sunday's Week 10 win at Green Bay.
LeSean McCoy busted out of his mini-slump Sunday, rushing 25 times for 155 yards. That left Brown for some scraps late. He's just a guy to keep on your bench in case McCoy gets hurt.

Sun Oct 27 201316:10Bryce Brown gets three carries in loss
Bryce Brown rushed three times for negative-one yard in Sunday's Week 8 loss to the Giants.
Brown is now on pace to rush just 76 times for 196 yards (2.57 YPC) this season. His role isn't nearly as large as originally expected with LeSean McCoy staying healthy and dominant. Perhaps Brown would push McCoy more if he didn't bounce every single run to the sideline.

Sun Oct 20 201318:29Bryce Brown barely plays once again
Bryce Brown rushed two times for four yards in Sunday's Week 7 loss to the Cowboys.

Fri Sep 20 201300:31Bryce Brown rushes just three times in loss
Bryce Brown rushed three times for seven yards in the Eagles' Week 3 loss to the Chiefs.
He wasn't targeted in the passing game. All three of Brown's carries came as LeSean McCoy tended to a leg injury. It's a bit surprising that Brown has just 15 carries through three games, but the Eagles' run-heavy offense is eventually going to necessitate a bigger role. He remains worth a bench stash in deeper leagues.

Mon Sep 16 201309:42Bryce Brown plays just nine snaps
Bryce Brown played on just 9-of-59 snaps (15.2 percent) in Sunday's loss to the Chiefs.
There's no committee here. Brown only played when electric starter LeSean McCoy was completely gassed. Brown is quality handcuff and/or stash -- but not a standalone option against the Chiefs Thursday night.

Tue Sep 10 201300:31Bryce Brown tallies 25 yards in Week 1
Bryce Brown rushed for 25 yards on nine carries in Monday night's Week 1 win over the Redskins.
LeSean McCoy was carrying the mail for the Eagles. Brown was in the game just to give him a breather. We saw what McCoy could do in Chip Kelly's high-powered offense, so Brown is a guy to own should McCoy get injured. He's a talented runner in his own right. Brown possesses a ton of speed and can run between the tackles.

Fri Aug 30 201322:21Bryce Brown 'obviously' ahead of Chris Polk
Philly Mag's Sheil Kapadia believes the Eagles' running back pecking order "obviously" has Bryce Brown as the No. 2 to LeSean McCoy's No. 1.
Chris Polk is No. 3. Polk is a more assignment-sound player than Brown, but the talent gap between Philly's two backups is colossal. Brown finished the preseason with 25 carries for 143 yards (5.7 YPC) and two touchdowns, adding 58 yards on six receptions. He's the high-upside handcuff for McCoy owners.

Sat Aug 24 201323:00Bryce Brown loses crucial fumble
Bryce Brown rushed 11 times for 92 yards with a touchdown but lost another fumble in Saturday's third preseason game.
Brown hasn't learned from last year, when he lost the rock four times on just 115 carries. He continues to carry the ball away from his body and loose, which led to a third-quarter fumble that went through the back of the endzone for a touchback. Still, Brown's speed to the edge is really impressive. He split backup duties with plodding yet more reliable Chris Polk. If LeSean McCoy were to get injured, we suspect Brown would handle the majority of work.

Sat Aug 17 201318:20Bryce Brown returns to practice
Bryce Brown (quadriceps) returned to Eagles practice Saturday.
The quad injury kept Brown out of Philly's second preseason game, but he should be all systems go for next week's regular season dress rehearsal. Brown needs to clean up his blitz pickup or else he risks losing his No. 2 tailback job to Chris Polk. Brown has Polk in sheer running ability by a very wide margin.

Fri Aug 16 201310:58Bryce Brown missing time with quad injury
Bryce Brown missed Thursday's preseason game with a quad injury, and is day to day.
Brown doesn't appear to have practiced this week. In theory, it gives unimpressive No. 3 back Chris Polk an opening, but Polk lost a fumble in Thursday's game. The far superior player, we'd guess Brown still has a firm hold on No. 2 duties.

Fri Aug 9 201321:57Bryce Brown effective in preseason opener
Bryce Brown rushed five times for 22 yards and a touchdown and caught two passes for 19 yards in the Eagles' preseason opener.
A surprising camp battle has emerged to be the Eagles' No. 2 running back, and Chris Polk played ahead of Brown on Friday night. Brown is clearly the superior talent and showed that against New England, whereas Polk managed seven yards on four carries. Brown remains a strong fantasy handcuff for LeSean McCoy, though he might lose some work to Polk in the event of a Shady injury.

Tue Aug 6 201319:52Bryce Brown's grip on No. 2 job loosening?
According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, the idea of Eagles RB Chris Polk beating out Bryce Brown for No. 2 duties isn't "as crazy as it sounds."

Fri Aug 2 201319:15Bryce Browns bouncing outside too much
Philly.com notes Eagles second-year RB Bryce Brown is "still bouncing too many runs to the outside" in training camp.
In addition to fumbling, this was one of Brown's worst rookie-year habits. A powerful, big-play runner when moving north-south, Brown became extremely prone to negative runs and "stuffs" when his shoulder pads were pointed east-west. Brown remains the heavy favorite for No. 2 back duties behind LeSean McCoy, but he still has kinks to iron out after barely playing college football.

Sun Jun 30 201313:59Bryce Brown: I'm victim in dog fighting case
Eagles RB Bryce Brown insists he and his breeder are victims in the suspected dog fighting operation in Wisconsin.
On Saturday, news came to light that Brown's dogs had been seized in a suspected dog fighting operation back on May 21. Brown released the following statement: "My dog was returned to me quickly because it was obvious that she is not and never has been involved with dog fighting. Northland Pits is a respectable breeder. ... He is a victim in this case, just as I am. He takes great care of his dogs and Eilis [Brown's dog] wouldn't have been breeding there otherwise." This seems like it will be a non-story shortly.
