Tue Dec 27 201123:00Damion James held scoreless on Tuesday
Damion James was held scoreless on four shot attempts and added just three rebounds, a steal, and four turnovers to his stat line in Tuesday's blowout loss.
He played just 23 minutes and it's a big blow to his fantasy value after a strong six-point, 14-rebound outing on Monday. Owners should generally take a big loss like this relatively lightly for evaluation purposes, but Brooks has been inconsistent in the past and the Nets look destined for more games like this.

Tue Dec 27 201118:12James to start again at small forward
Damion James will start again at small forward in Tuesday's game against the Hawks.
James had a career-high 14 rebounds and has done well rebounding the ball whenever he has hit the floor during his short career. He can hit also hit the 3-ball, and with another solid showing tonight he has the potential to be a must-add player.

Wed Dec 21 201123:07Damion James solid in loss to Knicks
Damion James started at SF and had 13 points, nine rebounds and two steals on 5-of-8 shooting Wednesday.
He looks like the starter, as long as Andrei Kirilenko doesn't show up, and qualifies as a fantasy sleeper for as long as he's holding down the job.

Fri Dec 16 201114:27Damion James: Nets starting SF?
Nets head coach Avery Johnson has named Damion James the starting SF for New Jersey's preseason opener vs. the Knicks on Saturday.
Johnson said his starting lineup will consist of James at small forward, Shelden Williams at power forward, Brook Lopez at center, Anthony Morrow at shooting guard and Deron Williams at point guard on Saturday. The Nets are talking about bringing in Andrei Kirilenko to possibly start at the 3, but if James holds onto the starting job for the foreseeable future, he is someone to take a flier on at the end of your fantasy drafts.

Wed Apr 13 201112:52James out on Wednesday for Nets
Damion James (foot) will not play in Wednesday's regular season finale.
James won't need offseason surgery on his foot, so the aggravation is apparently just soreness. The Nets will dress nine players tonight, with Brook Lopez, Jordan Farmar and Sasha Vujacic serving as solid fantasy plays.

Sat Apr 9 201110:00Nets rookie James (foot) likely done for year
Nets rookie Damion James (sore right foot) missed his 11th straight game on Friday and coach Avery Johnson said "it's not looking good" for him to return this season.
James never got back on track after breaking his foot in December (in his first NBA start, no less). The Nets are likely to sign a starting-caliber SF this summer, which dampens James' outlook, but he's worth watching during the preseason.

Mon Apr 4 201115:22James likely done for the season
Damion James (foot) is likely done for the season.
James' rookie season was marred by a broken foot he sustained in December. He'll likely end up playing in just 25 games, averaging 4.4 points and 3.4 rebounds. The Nets would have been better off hanging onto Jordan Crawford on draft day.

Tue Mar 29 201114:17Damion James sidelined until at least Monday
According to coach Avery Johnson, rookie Damion James will remain sidelined through at least Monday as he continues to recover from his troublesome foot injury. James will not play in a game before he can practice.
James would be an intriguing player to monitor in fantasy leagues if he were able to prove himself healthy, but that just hasn't been the case. Travis Outlaw has looked less than impressive in his inaugural season in New Jersey, but he'll continue to see 20-25 minutes for the Nets.

Mon Mar 28 201114:16James skips contac, still expected out two
Damion James did not participate in team contact drills as he continues to recover from foot surgery.
He's missed four games thus far and is expected to miss at least two more. Don't expect much from James going foward this season.

Fri Mar 25 201112:34Damion James (foot) out two more games
Damion James will miss at least the next two games as he continues to rest his surgically-repaired foot.
James experienced soreness and swelling, and the lottery-bound Nets aren't likely to rush his return. His absence means more minutes for Stephen Graham, Travis Outlaw, and Sasha Vujacic.

Tue Mar 22 201109:44James out another game
Damion James will be held out of Wednesday's game against the Cavs due to complications from his foot surgery.
Between these foot woes and his concussion, James' rookie season has been extremely rocky. Look for Stephen Graham to start once again and share time at small forward with Sasha Vujacic.

Mon Mar 21 201117:56Damion James out w/ pain in foot
Nets forward Damion James will miss Monday's game due to pain in his surgically-repaired foot.
Graham is doubtful for Wednesday also. In his absence, Stephen Graham will start at SF and we expect Travis Outlaw to get extra minutes off the bench.

Sun Mar 20 201115:37Damion James logs 29 minutes in loss
Damion James logged 29 minutes in a starting role scoring eight points, gathering four boards, and forcing three steals.
It wasn't a big line but coach Avery Johnson is slowly upping the minute total. The team's in the process of figuring out how to balance the offensive load and if James can get in on the action he could find himself a fantasy viable figure.

Damion James (concussion) will return for Thursday's game against the Bulls.
James is expected to play about 16 minutes as he works his way back into shape. He'll limit any upside Sasha Vujacic has had over the last week.

Sun Mar 13 201119:12James targeting Wednesday for practice
Damion James (concussion) is hoping to return to a full practice on Wednesday.
James is symptom-free and went through a non-contact workout today. He is still targeting Thursday's game against the Bulls for his return. It's unclear if James will get his starting small forward job back from Sasha Vujacic.

Wed Mar 9 201113:51Damion James to miss at least three games
Damion James (concussion) is expected to miss at least the next three games.
The hope is that James will be able to ride a stationary bike next week and return next Thursday against Chicago. Sasha Vujacic is slated to start at small forward in his absence and is worth consideration as a short-term add for owners in need of points and threes.

Wed Mar 9 201111:38Damion James has a Grade 1 concussion
Damion James has been diagnosed with a Grade 1 concussion.
Grade 1 is considered the least severe kind of concussion, but James is still feeling symptoms. He will likely be out at least a week. Nets coach Avery Johnson still has not named a new starting small forward, but we don't have high hopes for any Stephen Graham/Sasha Vujacic/Travis Outlaw combination.

Tue Mar 8 201113:01Damion James is out two games
Damion James (concussion) has been ruled out of the Nets' next two games.
James, who was locked in as the starting small forward, banged his head during Saturday's game in London. He'll likely be replaced in the starting five by Travis Outlaw.

Sat Mar 5 201116:54Damion James leaves w/ concussion on Sunday
Nets forward Damion James left Sunday's game with a concussion.
With Anthony Morrow also sidelined by a concussion, Travis Outlaw and Sasha Vujacic face minimal competition for minutes. No word yet on how long Morrow and James might miss, so check back for updates.
