Joel Sherman of the New York Post reports that Andy Pettitte will be represented by Jim Murray at Excel Sports Management.
It was previously reported that Pettitte would be Casey Close, who runs the baseball division at Excel Sports Management. Murray previously worked for the Hendricks brothers, so it appears Pettitte is simply following his agent to his new place of work. The veteran southpaw has yet to make a decision on whether he'll return for 2013, but the Yankees are optimistic he'll be back.

Sun Oct 14 201201:03Andy Pettitte pitches well in no-decision
Andy Pettitte turned in a strong performance in a no-decision against the Tigers in Game 1 of the ALCS on Saturday, surrendering just two runs in 6 2/3 innings.
Pettitte walked three and struck five. He traded zeroes with opposing starter Doug Fister until the sixth inning, when the Tigers finally broke through. Austin Jackson led off the frame with a triple that glanced off the first base bag and stopped along the wall near the first base line. After a one-out intentional walk to Miguel Cabrera, Prince Fielder and Delmon Young delivered RBI singles to put the Tigers ahead 2-0. Jhonny Peralta then walked to load the bases, but Pettitte was able to bear down and get Andy Dirks and Avisail Garcia to prevent any further damage. The veteran lefty was on hook for the loss until a dramatic rally tied the game in the bottom of the ninth. Pettitte will take the ball again in Game 5 of this series.

Tue Oct 9 201200:11Andy Pettitte pitches well in defeat
Making his 43rd career postseason start, Andy Pettitte pitched well but still took the loss Monday, allowing three runs over seven frames against the Orioles.
Pettitte gave up seven hits, walked one and struck out five. The Orioles had just one extra-base hit on the night (a J.J. Hardy double), but they were able to scrap enough singles together against Pettitte to even the series at 1-1. It was a nice effort from the 40-year-old, though, as he's looked sharp late in the season and tonight since his return from the disabled list. Pettitte won't get another start until the ALCS, if the Yankees make it.

Andy Pettitte indicated to the New York Post this weekend that he intends to return for the 2013 season.

"I was expecting to do a little bit more work than that." The veteran left-hander registered a cool 2.87 ERA and 1.14 WHIP in 12 starts during the regular season. He will turn 41 years old next June.

Andy Pettitte allowed three runs over 5 2/3 innings Saturday in a loss to the Blue Jays.

This was just the fourth time in 12 starts this year that he allowed more than two earned runs in a start. Wed Sep 19 201216:05Andy Pettitte wins in return from DL
Back from the DL, Andy Pettitte shut out the Blue Jays for five innings to pick up a win in the first game of Wednesday's doubleheader.
Pettitte was supposed to be on a pitch limit of 70, but manager Joe Girardi sent him back out for the fifth at 68 pitches anyway. It worked out as well as Girardi could have hoped, as Pettitte needed just seven pitches in his first one-two-three frame of the day. That made him eligible for the win, which he got in what turned out to be a 4-2 game. Pettitte should be ready to throw about 90 pitches next time out.

Thu Sep 13 201217:01Pettitte (ankle) to return Tuesday vs. Jays
Andy Pettitte (ankle) will be activated from the disabled list to start Tuesday against the Blue Jays.
Pettitte declared himself ready to go after throwing 55 pitches in a simulated game Wednesday. He'll be limited to around 75 pitches in his first start back, but this lines him up to make four starts before the end of the regular season. The 40-year-old southpaw had a 3.22 ERA in nine starts prior to the injury and is worth stashing in a DL-spot in most fantasy leagues.

Andy Pettitte (ankle) declared himself ready to rejoin the Yankees' rotation following a successful 55-pitch bullpen session Wednesday.
Pettitte is simply waiting to see what the team decides at this point, as he considers himself 100 percent healthy.
