Thu May 12 201102:42Coleman earns first career save
Louis Coleman pitched a perfect 10th inning to earn his first career save in Wednesday's 4-3 win over the Yankees.
Joakim Soria blew his save opportunity in a 20-pitch ninth inning, so Royals manager Ned Yost turned to his rookie. Coleman is not a candidate to steal more saves from Soria this season, but he tore up the minors and is now sporting a 2.35 ERA and 12/5 K/BB ratio through 7 2/3 innings.
