Fri Jan 24 201423:44Morrow scores 21 points off the bench
Anthony Morrow scored 21 points off the bench on Friday, hitting 7-of-11 shots with four 3-pointers in 25 minutes.
Morrow had been sick for a week and isn't locked into the rotation, and it remains to be seen if one good game can get him back in. Either way, owners can watch this action from the wire and see if he backs it up.

Fri Jan 24 201413:48Anthony Morrow will play for Pelicans
Anthony Morrow (illness) will return for Friday's game against the Pistons.
Morrow missed the last two games with a stomach virus. He'll return as a sharp-shooter off the bench, a role the Pelicans desperately need to full with Ryan Anderson on the shelf.

Mon Jan 20 201416:40Anthony Morrow didn't make trip, out Mon.
Anthony Morrow (illness) did not make the trip and will not play on Monday.
He did not play against the Warriors on Saturday with Tyreke Evans back in the lineup. Fantasy owners can ignore Morrow in almost every league.

Sun Dec 1 201323:12Anthony Morrow invisible in start at SF
Anthony Morrow had only three points in 13 minutes on Sunday, despite making his second consecutive start at SF.
Morrow might have fantasy value if he could permanently hold down the starting job, but Monty Williams has suggested that he'll rotate the position between Morrow, Al-Farouq Aminu (15 minutes) and even Josh Childress (10 minutes), depending upon matchups. "We're going to go with the lineups that work best for us," Williams said. "I'm not going to just go with that lineup [featuring Morrow] for the sake of putting it out there."

Fri Nov 29 201319:37Anthony Morrow starting, Aminu benched
Anthony Morrow will start at small forward for the Pelicans against the Sixers on Friday.
Al-Farouq Aminu will come off the bench, which isn't a surprise since he's played just 17.3 minutes per game over his last three. Morrow adds even more shooting for the Pelicans, but coach Monty Williams will likely use Tyreke Evans as his main small forward. Morrow can be left on the wire in most leagues.

Wed Nov 13 201302:10Anthony Morrow quiet off Pelicans bench
Anthony Morrow, who had 16 points and two 3-pointers on Sunday, played just 16 minutes and had eight points and two 3-pointers on 3-of-3 shooting in Tuesday's ugly loss to the Lakers.
Doc Rivers was on hand to watch his son play, and we're guessing that's why Austin Rivers got 15 minutes tonight, which limited Morrow. As long as Eric Gordon and Tyreke Evans are healthy and in the rotation, it's going to be tough for either Morrow or Rivers to get enough consistent playing time to make a fantasy difference.

Sun Nov 10 201322:58Anthony Morrow scores season-high 16 points
Anthony Morrow took advantage of Tyreke Evans' benching on Sunday, netting a season-high 16 points on 7-of-11 shooting, with two 3-pointers.
The perimeter specialist only chipped in three rebounds, consistent with expectations. Tyreke isn't likely to play seven minutes in another game soon, and fantasy owners should leave Morrow where they found him.

Sat Oct 5 201323:10Anthony Morrow scores 26 pts in start at SG
Anthony Morrow started at SG and led the Pelicans with 26 points on 8-of-15 shooting in Saturday's comeback win in Houston.
Morrow made three 3-pointers and all seven of his FT attempts, adding five rebounds and one assist without any turnovers. He will shift to a bench role whenever Eric Gordon (ankle) is cleared for game activity, which should be in time for the regular season opener. Morrow doesn't offer much beyond points and 3s, but owners in need of those categories should keep him in mind as a waiver wire pickup.

Wed Oct 2 201310:11Anthony Morrow earning minutes at SG
Anthony Morrow played SG with the Pelicans' starting unit during portions of Tuesday's practice.
Eric Gordon (ankle surgery) is being eased into action by New Orleans, and Austin Rivers has been exclusively playing PG during training camp. That leaves the door open at SG for Morrow, who could eventually emerge as a starter if Gordon is forced to miss regular season games. It's not a far-fetched scenario and owners should keep an eye on Morrow on the waiver wire.

Mon Jul 22 201316:31Morrow, Rivers expected to battle for SG role
Monty Williams expects a "big-time battle" for backup SG minutes between Austin Rivers and Anthony Morrow.
Rivers struggled as a rookie and seems like the underdog in this position battle, even though he looked stronger and more confident throughout Summer League. Morrow's career 42.4 percent shooting from downtown would likely provide valuable floor-spacing, especially with Tyreke Evans expected to come off the bench, but this is a situation to watch throughout training camp.

Tue Jul 9 201318:19Anthony Morrow agrees to deal with Pelicans
Anthony Morrow agreed to a two-year deal with the Pelicans on Tuesday.
He'll add some bench scoring to the Pelicans and could be a secondary contributor in 3-pointers behind Ryan Anderson. Morrow is a career 42.4 percent shooter from downtown, but would need an injury to get a role consistent enough for fantasy consideration.

The Spurs have had "exploratory" talks with free agent Anthony Morrow, according to FOX 29 San Antonio.
The two sides are scheduled to talk again later this week. Morrow has averaged 10.9 points per game in his career, while shooting 42.4 percent from downtown, but a nagging back injury limited him to just 41 appearances with the Hawks and Mavs last season.

Mon Mar 4 201309:29Anthony Morrow expects to be good soon
Anthony Morrow (hip) expects to be ready in "a few more days."

Sun Feb 24 201316:22Anthony Morrow makes debut Sunday
Anthony Morrow played the last three seconds in Sunday's 103-99 loss against the Lakers on Sunday.
With the exception of Reggie Miller scoring eight points in nine second at the Garden, it's hard for anyone to produce much in three seconds. Morrow won't have any value in Dallas.

Fri Feb 22 201318:52Anthony Morrow to join Mavs on Saturday
Anthony Morrow won't join the Mavs until Saturday and won't be available to play Friday against the Hornets.
Morrow was acquired from Atlanta in exchange for Dahntay Jones, which essentially amounted to a swap of players that had each fallen out of the rotation. Morrow will struggle to get minutes behind O.J. Mayo and should be on the waiver wire in most formats.

Thu Feb 21 201315:14Anthony Morrow traded to the Mavericks
The Mavericks have traded Dahntay Jones to the Hawks for Anthony Morrow.
Morrow hasn't been a part of the rotation in Atlanta and he'll have a tough time getting minutes with O.J. Mayo playing well at shooting guard. He's a great shooter, making 42.5 percent of his 3-point attempts in his career, but he can be left on the wire in almost all leagues.

Mon Feb 11 201310:58Anthony Morrow not part of Hawks rotation
Larry Drew confirmed that Anthony Morrow is not currently a part of the rotation.
"Right now, I just can't play everybody," Drew said following Sunday's practice. "I would like to get him in there but I just can't play 11, 12, 13 people. You just can't do it." Morrow could be on the move before the February 21 trade deadline and is a career 42.5 percent shooter from behind the 3-point line.
