Sun May 29 2022 | 12:02 | Jazz Chisholm Jr. Back Against Braves |
Miami Marlins second baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. (hamstring) is back at the keystone and is hitting second on Sunday against Atlanta Braves left-hander Max Fried. Chisholm missed the team's previous four games due to left hamstring tightness, but fantasy managers will want to get him back into their lineups immediately against Atlanta. The 24-year-old won't be in his usual leadoff spot, but the two-hole isn't a bad placement either. Chisholm has been excellent this year with a .290/.341/.581 slash line, a .921 OPS, seven home runs, a league-leading four triples, 27 RBI, 21 runs scored and six stolen bases in 139 plate appearances over 34 games. |

Sat May 28 2022 | 13:04 | Jazz Chisholm Jr. Out Against Braves |
Miami Marlins second baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. (hamstring) is not in the starting lineup on Saturday against the Atlanta Braves. Chisholm will miss his fourth straight game after leaving last Sunday's game early with hamstring tightness. The good news is that the 24-year-old is expected to avoid the injured and return at some point this weekend. Chisholm has been a must-start when he's in the lineup, as he's hitting .290/.341/.581 with a .921 OPS, seven home runs, a league-leading four triples, 27 RBI, 21 runs scored and six stolen bases in 139 plate appearances over 34 games played. Jon Berti is starting at the keystone and is hitting leadoff on Saturday against Braves left-hander Tucker Davidson. Berti has some DFS sleeper appeal in the leadoff spot while hitting .295 in 54 plate appearances for the Fish in 18 games. |

Wed May 25 2022 | 16:16 | Jazz Chisholm Jr. Remains Sidelined On Wednesday |
Miami Marlins second baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. (hamstring) will miss his second consecutive game on Wednesday as the team takes on right-hander Drew Rasmussen and the Tampa Bay Rays. Chisholm exited this past Sunday's game due to left hamstring tightness and the injury is clearly still bothering him. Joe Dunand got the start at the keystone on Tuesday and Erik Gonzalez is starting at second base for Wednesday's game. Chisholm remains day-to-day at this point. The Marlins are off on Thursday, so his next chance to play will be on Friday against the Atlanta Braves. |

Tue May 24 2022 | 15:32 | Jazz Chisholm Jr. Still Out Tuesday |
Miami Marlins second baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. (hamstring) remains out of the starting lineup against the Tampa Bay Rays on Tuesday. Chisholm left Sunday's game early with left hamstring tightness, and it remains to be seen if the injury will require him to go on the injured list. He's been electric this year, hitting .290/.341/.581 with a .921 OPS, seven home runs, a league-leading four triples, 27 RBI, 21 runs scored and six stolen bases in 34 games, so both the Fish and fantasy managers would be hurting if he requires an extended absence. For now, consider the 24-year-old day-to-day until we know more. Joe Dunand, who replaced Chisholm on Sunday, is at the keystone and is batting ninth on Tuesday against Rays left-hander Shane McClanahan. Dunand has a solo homer in his first seven major league at-bats. |

Sun May 22 2022 | 14:32 | Jazz Chisholm Jr. Exits With Leg Injury On Sunday |
Miami Marlins second baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. (leg) was removed from Sunday's game against the Atlanta Braves due to a leg injury. Joe Dunand entered the game in the third inning to take over at the keystone. Chisholm first aggravated his leg during Saturday's game. After reaching base through a walk in the first inning on Sunday, he was showing some lingering effects of the injury on the base paths, leading to his removal from the game. The Marlins are off on Monday, so he'll have an extra day to recover before Tuesday's game against the Tampa Bay Rays. |

Miami Marlins second baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. is back in the starting lineup on Wednesday. The infielder didn't start Tuesday's contest, but returns for a matchup with the Arizona Diamondbacks and right-handed starter Merrill Kelly. So far this season, the 24-year-old is batting .300 with a .343 on-base percentage, five home runs, and six stolen bases in 100 plate appearances. He's hitting leadoff against Kelly on Wednesday. |

Mon May 2 2022 | 15:05 | Jazz Chisholm Jr. Back In The Lineup Monday |
Miami Marlins second baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. (illness) is back at second base and is hitting leadoff on Monday against Arizona Diamondbacks right-hander Zac Gallen. Chisholm missed the last two games due to stomach cramps, but he's back atop the Marlins batting order to open the series against Arizona. The 24-year-old is in the midst of a four-game hitting streak and is hitting a cool .310 with four home runs, three doubles, a league-high three triples, four home runs, 15 RBI, nine runs scored and four stolen bases in 17 games for the Fish. Now that he's at leadoff, Chisholm is a must-start in all season-long fantasy leagues. Jon Berti, who started at the keystone the last two games, will head back to the bench. |

Sun May 1 2022 | 11:19 | Jazz Chisholm Jr. Out Sunday With Stomach Issue |
Miami Marlins second baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. (illness) is not in the starting lineup on Sunday against the Seattle Mariners due to stomach cramping and distress. It will be the second straight game that Chisholm has missed, but he shouldn't be out for much longer heading into next week. Jon Berti is getting the start at the keystone again and will hit leadoff against Mariners right-hander Logan Gilbert in the series finale. Chisholm has been lights-out through the first month of the season, hitting .298 (17-for-57) with three doubles, three triples, four home runs, 15 RBI and four stolen bases in 16 games. Whenever he returns to the lineup, fantasy managers should be putting him right back in their lineups. Berti has been decent this year, but he'll merely be a low-cost DFS sleeper on Sunday in a tough matchup against Gilbert. |

Fri Apr 22 2022 | 00:17 | Jazz Chisholm Jr. Homers Out Of Leadoff Spot |
Miami Marlins second baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. got his first start out of the leadoff spot on Thursday, and he didn't disappoint his manager by homering to help his club defeat the Cardinals 5-0. His third long ball of the season came off of Aaron Brooks in the seventh inning for a two-run shot as he finished the night going 1-for-4. Chisholm is off to a nice start to the season slashing .290/.333/.774 with six runs, 12 RBI, and a stolen base out of the bottom-third of the order. Jorge Soler has received the nearly all the at-bats as the team's leadoff hitter so far in 2022, but since he's slashing just .143/.250/.238 through 48 plate appearances, the job could transfer hands. Chisholm was in the coveted role for 64 games a year ago, so it's something to monitor moving forward as a promotion to the top of the lineup would undoubtedly boost his fantasy production. |

Thu Apr 21 2022 | 15:25 | Jazz Chisholm Jr. Hitting Leadoff Against Cardinals |
Miami Marlins second baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. has been moved all the way up to the leadoff spot on Thursday against St. Louis Cardinals right-hander Jordan Hicks. Chisholm was hitting eighth or ninth in the batting order for the first nine games of the season, but he'll move all the way to leadoff on Thursday. The 24-year-old will be much more attractive for DFS lineups, especially since he's hitting .296/.344/.741 with two home runs, two triples, two doubles, 10 RBI, five runs scored and a steal so far in 2022. Outfielder Jorge Soler has mainly been serving as the Marlins leadoff hitter, but he'll move to the third spot against St. Louis. Soler has just six hits in 42 at-bats with a .250 on-base percentage, so there's a chance Chisholm could stick in the leadoff spot. |

Sat Apr 16 2022 | 15:18 | Jazz Chisholm Jr., Jesus Sanchez On The Bench Saturday |
Miami Marlins second baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. and outfielder Jesus Sanchez are both absent from Saturday's lineup versus Phillies left-hander Ranger Suarez. Jon Berti is playing the keystone and batting ninth while Bryan De La Cruz is taking over duties in center field and batting seventh. Chisholm is holding his own with the bat so far in 2022 with a pair of homers, seven RBI, and a .278 BA through six games as it won't be uncommon for him to sit versus some left-handed starters. Sanchez, also a left-handed swinger, will take a seat for the first time this year after starting off his season to a .310 BA with two homers and six RBI. Both batters should return to the lineup on Sunday versus right-hander Zack Wheeler. |

Sat Apr 9 2022 | 14:26 | Jazz Chisholm Jr. Not In Saturday's Lineup Against The Giants |
Miami Marlins infielder Jazz Chisholm Jr. is not in the lineup for Saturday's game against the San Francisco Giants. After going yard in Friday's extra-inning loss, he will get the day off. The 24-year-old batted ninth and went 2-for-3 with a two-run homer and a walk on Opening Day. Chisholm will get a breather in just the second game of the season, but fantasy managers shouldn't hit the panic button on the Marlins infielder. Jon Berti will draw the start at the keystone and bat ninth in Saturday's game. Berti has elite speed and can be used as a streamer in leagues with daily moves for managers hoping to pick up a stolen base potentially. |

Fri Apr 8 2022 | 14:35 | Jazz Chisholm Jr. Hitting Ninth Against Giants |
Miami Marlins second baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. is starting at the keystone and is batting ninth against San Francisco Giants right-hander Logan Webb on Opening Day on Friday. Joey Wendle is also getting the start over Brian Anderson at third base while batting sixth in the order. Chisholm has exciting power/speed capabilities after he hit 18 home runs and stole 23 bases while slashing .248/.303/.425 in his first full season in the big leagues in 2021 over 124 games. However, his fantasy ceiling will be capped if he's hitting at the bottom of Miami's batting order for most of the year. |

Wed Mar 23 2022 | 11:11 | Jazz Chisholm Jr. Feels Fine On Wednesday |
Miami Marlins second baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. (hand) said his hand feels fine on Wednesday morning after being forced from Tuesday's game due to being hit by a ground ball. Chisholm escaped with just some bruising and said that if it were the regular season, he'd be playing through it. He was scheduled to have Wednesday off anyway, but we may see him back in a Grapefruit League lineup the next time the Marlins suit up. There is no concern about his Opening Day status. |

Tue Mar 22 2022 | 14:49 | Jazz Chisholm Jr. Leaves Game Early Tuesday |
Miami Marlins second baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. (hand) left the spring training game early on Tuesday after taking a ground ball off his right hand. It's unclear how serious this injury is, so fantasy managers will want to check back on Chisholm's status. If the 24-year-old's injury is serious enough to keep him out for the start of the regular season, infielder Jon Berti could see regular playing time at the keystone for Miami. Chisholm has an intriguing power-speed profile at second base, and he hit 18 home runs and stole 23 bases while slashing .248/.303/.425 in 507 plate appearances in his second MLB season, but he'll need to cut down on his strikeouts (28.6% K rate) if he wants to be considered among the highest tier at the position. |

Fri Mar 18 2022 | 22:50 | Jazz Chisholm Jr. Goes Deep On Friday |
Miami Marlins second baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. hit a three-run home run in Friday's Grapefruit League win over the Washington Nationals. Chisholm hit in the leadoff spot and went yard in the fourth inning with two runners on base for his only hit of the game. The exciting lefty batter went through some slumps in 2021 but showed plenty of upside as well. He's a high-risk, high-reward choice in most formats, with his value improved a bit by being a second baseman. |

Wed Sep 15 2021 | 12:16 | Jazz Chisholm Jr. Absent From Wednesday's Lineup |
Miami Marlins second baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. will get a day off Wednesday against the Washington Nationals, according to MLB.com. The 23-year old rookie is slashing .250/.306/.425, but does provide power and speed with 15 HRs and 21 SBs in 107 games. Chisholm Jr. isn't a top fantasy second baseman but offers good value at a shallow position. Joe Panik will take his spot at the keystone and bat sixth. He should be left on the waiver wire in all leagues with his .555 OPS this season and better second-base options out there. |

Thu Aug 26 2021 | 18:08 | Jazz Chisholm On The Bench On Thursday |
Miami Marlins second baseman Jazz Chisholm isn't starting on Thursday as his team gets set to take on the Washington Nationals and left-hander Patrick Corbin. Chisholm is batting .254 with a .314 on-base percentage, 14 home runs, and 16 stolen bases in 364 plate appearances this season. It'll be Isan Diaz starting at second instead and hitting seventh against Corbin. You're probably better off looking elsewhere for streaming help at second base on Thursday. Diaz has logged 228 plate appearances with the Marlins this season and is batting .199 with a .303 on-base percentage, four home runs, and a stolen base. |

Jazz hit a three-run homer in the eighth inning, his 14th of the season, and added a single as well. The exciting rookie is hitting .259 with a .764 OPS and 12 stolen bases. He's missed some time this year with seemingly random minor injuries, but he's been mostly solid while he's been on the field. |
