Sun Mar 19 202318:19Kyrie Irving Questionable To Play Monday
Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving (foot) is listed as questionable to play versus the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday. Irving recently missed three games to injury, but was able to return Friday and play 38 minutes in a win against the Los Angeles Lakers. Irving has gotten two days of rest, but seems to be feeling some lingering soreness in his right foot. If Irving cannot go and Luka Doncic (thigh) remains out, Josh Green, Jaden Hardy and Tim Hardaway Jr. would be the likely candidates for increased roles.

Sat Mar 18 202309:53Kyrie Irving Returns With Vintage Performance
Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving was back from a three-game absence on Friday and put on a show against the Lakers in a 111-110 win with a game-high 38 points, six rebounds and six assists. The Mavericks won the game with a buzzer-beating Maxi Kleber three-pointer that was set up by Irving. He shot 5-for-9 from deep himself and finished 14-for-23 overall from the field. Life in Dallas has been good for Kyrie, as he is averaging 28.4 points, 5.2 rebounds, 6.6 assists and 1.1 steals as a member of the Mavericks.

Fri Mar 17 202321:23Kyrie Irving Back Against The Lakers
Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving (foot) will return from a three-game absence on Friday versus the Los Angeles Lakers. Tim Hardaway Jr. (calf) will also play, so both are expected to get plenty of chances to produce on the offensive end, especially with Luka Doncic (thigh) still on the shelf. Nevertheless, with Irving and Hardaway cleared for action, Jaden Hardy, who has averaged 24 points as a starter in the last three games, will head back to the bench. As a result, the rookie's upside is considerably lower, even though he'll still get some minutes.

Thu Mar 16 202321:56Kyrie Irving Listed As Questionable For Friday
Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving (foot) is listed as questionable for Friday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers. The star guard is in danger of missing his fourth game in a row due to foot soreness. The Mavericks are already shorthanded with Luka Doncic (thigh) ruled out for Friday's game. The absence of Irving would leave the team with a limited amount of guards. Josh Green and Jaden Hardy would be asked to play heavy minutes, which would make them both appealing streaming options.

Wed Mar 15 202318:54Kyrie Irving, Tim Hardaway Jr. Both Out Wednesday
Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving (foot) and Tim Hardaway Jr. (calf) are both out Wednesday versus the San Antonio Spurs. With Luka Doncic (thigh) also sidelined, the Mavs are very thin on the wing for Wednesday. Jaden Hardy, Josh Green and Reggie Bullock should all see increased roles against San Antonio.

Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving (foot) is officially questionable to play Wednesday against the San Antonio Spurs. Irving has sat the past two outing as he deals with a sore foot and is in danger of missing another. With Luka Doncic (thigh) already ruled out and Tim Hardaway Jr. (calf) listed as questionable, the Mavs will likely turn to Josh Green and Jaden Hardy to fill the holes in their lineup.

Mon Mar 13 202318:48Kyrie Irving Unavailable On Monday
Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving (foot) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Memphis Grizzlies. The superstar guard will sit out his second straight game due to right foot soreness. This is bad timing with fellow guard Luka Doncic (thigh) on the sideline as well. The Mavericks are going to be forced to use a committee approach to fill the void. Josh Green, Jaden Hardy and Tim Hardaway Jr. will all be asked to step up and play more minutes on Monday. All of them scored at least 21 points during Saturday's game. That being said, fantasy managers should consider all three of these guards possible streaming options for Monday's slate.

Sat Mar 11 202316:13Kyrie Irving Remains Questionable On Saturday
Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving (foot) remains questionable for Saturday's matchup in Memphis. The 30-year-old missed Friday's practice because of right foot soreness, an injury he's battled throughout the year, dating back to his time in Brooklyn. With Luka Doncic (thigh) sidelined, the Mavs could be down their top scoring options. As a result, Tim Hardaway Jr. Josh Green, Christian Wood, and even Jaden Hardy could benefit from a fantasy standpoint.

Fri Mar 10 202315:24Kyrie Irving Misses Friday's Practice
Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving (personal) was unable to practice on Friday. However, head coach Jason Kidd is hopeful that Irving is able to play during Saturday's game. The Mavericks are already going to be without Luka Doncic (quad) for this contest. The loss of Irving would leave the Mavs extremely shorthanded. Josh Green, Jaden Hardy and Tim Hardaway Jr. would all be asked to step up if Irving is forced to sit out. Honestly, all three of them could have some streaming appeal if the Mavs are without both Doncic and Irving on Saturday.

Fri Mar 3 202311:46Kyrie Irving Scores 40 Points In Win On Thursday
Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving went off alongside Luka Doncic and took down the third-seeded Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday night. The 30-year-old posted 40 points, four rebounds, six assists, and three steals on 15-for-22 shooting overall and 6-for-8 from beyond the arc. The dynamic duo of Doncic and Irving has worked pretty well so far as they still figure out how to be consistent. Since joining Dallas, Irving is averaging 26.6 points, 5.0 rebounds, 6.8 assists, and 1.3 steals per game.

Wed Feb 22 202321:46Kyrie Irving Removed From Injury Report
Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving (back) is not on the injury report ahead of Thursday's game against the San Antonio Spurs. The superstar guard missed the final game before the All-Star break due to lower back tightness. Although, Irving did play in the All-Star Game, so it appears his back tightness isn't bothering him anymore. That being said, Irving should be fine for their next contest. He should start in his normal role alongside Luka Doncic. Frank Ntilikina should head to the second unit and won't have much streaming appeal with Irving and Doncic healthy.

Wed Feb 15 202318:39Kyrie Irving A Late Addition To Injury Report
Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving (back) is now questionable to play Wednesday against the Denver Nuggets. Irving popped up on the injury report late Wednesday after experiencing some tightness in his lower back. Late additions to the injury report are never a good sign and if Irving is ultimately ruled out, Luka Doncic should see massive usage. Theo Pinson and Frank Ntilikina would also see extra minutes if Irving sits.

Tue Feb 14 202308:45Kyrie Irving Finishes Red-Hot Night With 36 Points
Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving was on fire against Minnesota on Monday, shooting 15-for-23 from the field en route to a game-high 36 points. Luka Doncic added 33 points on 10-for-20 shooting, but the Mavericks still couldn't pull off a victory, dropping the game at home 124-121. Irving was 4-for-9 with the three-ball and completed his line with five rebounds, six assists, two steals, one block and two turnovers. He's had a good start in his new surroundings, averaging 28.3 points, 4.8 rebounds, 7.0 assists and 1.3 steals in four games as a Maverick.

Fri Feb 10 202313:152023 NBA Trade Deadline Breakdown - Fantasy Basketball Impacts
The NBA trade deadline has officially come and gone and we had one of the most active deadlines in recent memory with some big stars being dealt. Kyrie, KD, and Westbrook are all heading to new teams and we have been covering those trades and their fantasy impacts here at RotoBaller. But there were plenty of other lesser-known players who were dealt in the last few days and I wanted to go through and make sure we don't overlook some of these trades as some of those deals may even have more fantasy impact than the big moves. So here are some other trades that went down and my two cents on the increase or decrease in value that we should expect from the players involved for the remainder of the 2022-2023 fantasy basketball season.

Moves That Matter

These are very much in order of how much they matter. Let's start with the Spurs sending their starting center back up North where he started his career.Jakob Poeltl to the RaptorsI am a huge Poeltl fan and was close to acquiring him on multiple teams before the deadline. It was a curious move by Toronto to be buyers instead of sellers at the deadline, but Poeltl gives them the presence at the five they have been lacking all season and allows Siakam to shift over and play PF where he belongs.Poeltl is no longer a shutdown candidate and has legit top-50 upside with his multi-category abilities. His departure also makes ... [More]
Thu Feb 9 202323:29Kevin Durant Traded to Suns - Fantasy Basketball Impact
As hectic as this year's NBA trade deadline has been, with 28 out of the 30 teams making at least one trade, early Thursday morning at 1:00 am, a blockbuster trade went down that not many expected. However, if you had read my previous article, you could have gotten a glimpse of the future thanks to my magic ball, as the first "potential trade" I wrote about was sending Kevin Durant to none other than the Pheonix Suns.Kevin Durant is undeniably a top-three player and arguably even the best in the NBA right now. It's not surprising to hear how stunned the NBA world was after seeing this trade, as the Suns sold a huge chunk of their future for the Nets superstar but were somehow saved from involving Deandre Ayton in the trade!Any average NBA fan knows how much of an impact future Hall of Famer Kevin Durant has on any team, but to emphasize just how much, check this out: The Suns went from odds of +1800 of winning the finals to +450 on Thursday morning after the huge trade, now only behind the Boston Celtics, who lead the race with their odds being +350.

Kevin Durant's Season Recap

Durant (knee) has been sidelined for over a month after getting hurt on January 8 against the Miami Heat and remains without a timetable to return to make his debut with the Suns. Before getting hurt, the 13-time All-Star was averaging 29.7 points, 6.7 rebounds, 5.3 assists, 0.8 steals, 1.8 blocks, and 36 minutes in 39 appearances this season.
Thu Feb 9 202308:59Kyrie Irving Leads Mavericks To Win In Debut
Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving debuted for his new team on Wednesday and promptly led them in scoring as they won 110-104. The 30-year-old finished the game with 24 points, four rebounds, five assists, one block, and one steal as he shot 9-for-17 from the floor and 4-for-8 from beyond the arc. While the dynamic between Irving and Luka Doncic is still yet to be seen, it's a great sign that Irving could step right in and not skip a beat.

Wed Feb 8 202313:25Kyrie Irving To Debut For Mavericks On Wednesday
Dallas Mavericks newly acquired talented point guard Kyrie Irving is expected to make his debut with the team on Wednesday against the Clippers. Irving had his first practice with his new team on Tuesday, and when asked if he had any problems playing alongside MVP candidate Luka Doncic, he responded, "no." With Doncic's role as the primary ball-handler not destined to change, Irving will have to play more off-ball, something he isn't as used to. Two of the most talented guards in the NBA are now teammates, which will be scary for opponents. This duo will be very entertaining to watch, and who knows, Irving might be that piece the Mavericks need to get them over the hump. Regarding Irving's fantasy value, he may have a slight decrease in usage. Doncic is more ball dominant than Kevin Durant which will cause Irving to have to play more off ball. However, Irving is still a stud and he shouldn't struggle to put up great numbers on his new team.

Kyrie Irving's Season Recap

Irving got suspended for an antisemitic social media post, keeping him out of the lineup for eight games. But since then, the 30-year-old stayed out of the limelight, so most had assumed he finally turned things around. He's played well all season, averaging 27.1 points, 5.3 assists, 5.1 rebounds, and 1.0 steals in 40 appearances.https://twitter.com/ShamsCharania/status/1622324668047794177?s=20&t=NTffJ2tRvNpjAA7bddjYHQHe was also selected to the All-Star team for the eighth time in his career. However, things were apparently going too well, as Irving dropped a bombshell by requesting a trade. His wish was granted, as he was sent to Dallas in exchange for ... [More]
Sun Feb 5 202315:18Kyrie Irving Heading To Dallas
Brooklyn Nets guard Kyrie Irving is being traded to the Mavericks, per The Athletic's Shams Charania. In exchange, Dallas is sending Spencer Dinwiddie, Dorian Finney-Smith, and multiple draft picks. The move comes after the 30-year-old requested a trade ahead of the February 9 deadline. Irving, who's averaged 27.1 points, 5.3 assists, and 5.1 rebounds in 40 games this season, will now join forces with Luka Doncic, arguably assembling the league's most potent backcourt. However, Irving may see a dip in production, at least on the scoring end, although his assist numbers may improve.

Sun Feb 5 202313:18Kyrie Irving Could Sit Until Traded
According to NBA insider Chris Haynes, the Nets intend to sit Kyrie Irving until he's traded ahead of the February 9 deadline. The multi-time All-Star formally asked to be moved on Friday while advising the club that he will not re-sign with the team this offseason. Irving has played well this season, averaging 27.1 points, 5.3 assists, and 5.1 rebounds in 40 games. The Lakers remain a favorite to acquire his services, reportedly in a deal surrounding Russell Westbrook. However, teams like Phoenix and Dallas may also be in the running. Either way, there should be more on this situation in the coming days, although Irving may have already suited up for the final time in Brooklyn.
