He was 1-for-3 on Wednesday. Saladino is 9-for-29 (.310) with three doubles, three RBIs, one walk and three runs over his past seven games.

2B Tyler Saladino went 2-for-5 with a steal and a run scored and would have had the game-tying RBI single in the ninth inning except that Marlins left fielder Christian Yelich threw out pinch-runner Carlos Sanchez at the plate. Saladino also made two brilliant and nearly identical catches in the first two innings against the Marlins on Sunday. In both cases, he turned his back on home plate and raced into shallow center field to make an over-the-shoulder grab. On the second one, which came two with two outs, he saved at least one run.

2B Tyler Saladino started for only the second time in the past 16 games Friday. He went 1-for-4 and made a diving play in the field before throwing out out Detroit's Jose Iglesias at first base. Saladino is hitting .262 with five home runs and 20 RBIs in 46 games. "I just like to be reliable," he said.

Thu Jun 2 201600:28Sox 'keep going' with Saladino
NEW YORK -- Tyler Saladino couldn't immediately build on the biggest night of his major league career. But it still might have given him a bigger share of the Chicago White Sox's starting shortstop job.Saladino started at shortstop for the second straight game Wednesday afternoon, when he went 0-for-5 in the White Sox's 2-1, 13-inning win over the New York Mets at Citi Field. The hitless effort came less than 24 hours after Saladino went 2-for-2, reached base in all four plate appearances, stole two bases and hit the go-ahead two-run homer in the eighth inning of a 6-4 win over the Mets. The impressive performance convinced White Sox manager Robin Ventura, who began the week expecting to play Jimmy Rollins in Wednesday's series finale, to stick with Saladino instead."Our bus ride back, we were all sitting there talking about it," Ventura said Wednesday morning. "I think he's on a nice little run. You let him go with it."The start Wednesday was the 19th start of the season for Saladino, who... [More]

SS Tyler Saladino had his best game as a big leaguer Tuesday, when he went 2-for-2, reached base in all four plate appearances and hit the go-ahead homer in the eighth inning of the White Sox's 6-4 comeback win over the Mets. It was the first time in 93 major league games that Saladino has reached base four times. Saladino walked in the second and singled in the fourth before he capped a three-run sixth by the White Sox by walking with two outs, stealing second and third base on consecutive pitches and scoring on a single by C Dioner Navarro. With one out in the eighth, Saladino hit a long two-run homer for his second homer in his last three games. He is batting .290 with three homers and 13 RBIs in 69 at-bats this season.

SS Tyler Saladino hit his first career three-run homer in the second inning. It was also his first road career homer. The last White Sox No. 9 hitter to hit a three-run homer in a game was Tyler Flowers on June, 28, 2013 versus the Indians.

SS Tyler Saladino made his second straight start in place of veteran Jimmy Rollins. While some sparkling defensive play in Friday's 4-1 loss to the Royals certainly spurred Saladino's return to the lineup, he had two hits Saturday and extended his hitting streak to a career-best seven games and picked up his fifth multi-hit game of the season.

SS Tyler Saladino homered in the first inning for a quick 1-0 lead Wednesday. It was his first home run since Sept. 9, 2015, against Cleveland. He has hit each of his five career home runs at U.S. Cellular Field.

Saladino will remain out of the lineup for a second consecutive game Monday versus the Indians, Doug Padilla of ESPN Chicago reports.
Saladino has been working as the White Sox's primary third baseman throughout the second half, but his general lack of impact at the plate may have prompted manager Robin Ventura to explore some of the team's other internal options. Mike Olt is receiving a second straight start at third base, and could soon surpass Saladino on the depth chart if he's able to keep his strikeouts to a minimum.
Sun Sep 6 201511:39Saladino out of lineup Sunday against Royals
Saladino is out of the lineup Sunday against the Royals, Dan Hayes of CSN Chicago reports.
Saladino will receive a day off for the first time since Aug. 25. The 25-year-old rookie enjoyed a nice start to his MLB career earlier this summer, but his production has begun to fizzle out. Heading into Sunday's series finale, his line sits at a mediocre .240/.279/.327 across 211 plate appearances.
Wed Sep 2 201517:01Saladino will bat leadoff Wednesday against Twins
Saladino will bat leadoff Wednesday against the Twins, Colleen Kane of the Chicago Tribune reports.
The 26-year-old will be afforded his first career start atop the order, with regular leadoff man Adam Eaton out of the lineup against lefty Tommy Milone. Saladino, who has hit primarily out of the two-hole, has collected four hits in his last three games after going 0-for-12 in his previous four starts.

Saladino went 1-for-4 with a walk and two RBI in a 8-7 win over the Mariners on Saturday.
The third base position has been a trouble spot for the White Sox over the past few seasons and it's not getting much better with Saladino. Unfortunately, he provides very little upside and almost no fantasy value. In 43 games played this season, Saladino is batting just .213 with an OBP of .268 and a SLG of .324. It's surprising that Robin Ventura continues to bat him second in the order, and it's one of many questionable decisions that may lead to him looking for a new job in the offseason.
Tue Aug 25 201516:53Saladino not in lineup for Tuesday's game against Red Sox
Saladino is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Red Sox.
Saladino went just 1-for-11 over his last three games, so manager Robin Ventura decided to give him a day off. Gordon Beckham will man the hot corner for the White Sox in Saladino's place.

Saladino went 3-for-5 with two RBI and a run scored in an 11-4 win over the Mariners on Saturday.
Saladino now has five hits, including three RBI and two runs scored over his last two games. He has found a nice lineup spot for the Sox, batting second in front of Melky Cabrera and Jose Abreu. Look for him to continue to be marginally productive for the remainder of the season.
Sun Aug 9 201512:38Saladino out of lineup Sunday against Royals
Saladino is out of the lineup Sunday against the Royals, Colleen Kane of the Chicago Tribune reports.
After going 1-for-9 with three strikeouts over the first two games of the series to drop his season average to .240, Saladino will get a mental break, as Gordon Beckham slots in at third base. Saladino doesn't yet appear in jeopardy of losing out on his regular starting gig, but his ongoing slump could force him out of the No. 2 spot in the White Sox batting order before long.
