The Braves will go with Yonny Chirinos and Bryce Elder on Friday and Saturday. It's uncertain who will pitch on Sunday, but the Braves might go with a bullpen game. That being said, fantasy managers should be prepared to be without Morton for this weekend's series.

Atlanta Braves pitcher Charlie Morton will be in search of improved results on Tuesday when he gets the ball for a road start against the Boston Red Sox. His previous outing wasn't a complete disaster but Morton did yield four earned runs on six hits and three walks while striking out just four across 5 2/3 innings in a losing effort against the Arizona Diamondbacks. The outing snapped a stretch of six straight starts in which Morton yielded three earned runs or fewer while he had surrendered just a single earned run across his previous three starts. Nonetheless, he will carry a strong 3.36 ERA into Tuesday's start against a Red Sox offense that sits eighth with a .331 wOBA against right-handed pitching on the season.

Philadelphia Phillies relief pitcher Craig Kimbrel finally faltered on Sunday, taking the blown save in what ended up being an 8-5 win over the Cleveland Guardians. Kimbrel allowed two hits, including a game-tying homer to David Fry, while striking out one in his inning of work. The veteran closer has been superb since June 11, going 16 consecutive innings without allowing a run until today. He is now 16-for-17 in save opportunities to go along with a 3.29 ERA, 0.98 WHIP, and 61 strikeouts in 41 IP. When he is at the top of his game like he currently looks to be, he is a top-tier closing option in fantasy.

Los Angeles Dodgers first baseman Freddie Freeman had a big offensive performance in Friday night's 11-5 win over the Texas Rangers. Freeman went 2-for-4 with a home run, a double, three RBI, three runs scored, two walks and two strikeouts. What's new for Freeman? The 33-year-old seven-time All-Star just continues to hit for the Dodgers and fantasy managers. He's currently slashing .322/.405/.565 with a .970 OPS, 18 home runs, a league-leading 35 doubles, two triples, 67 RBI, 12 stolen bases and 81 runs scored in 96 games and a league-leading 442 plate appearances. Freeman has been even hotter in July, going 20-for-60 (.333) with four long balls, seven doubles, a triple, 14 RBI, one steal and 16 runs scored in 15 games. He's carrying fantasy clubs in 2023.

Boston Red Sox infielder Justin Turner normally serves as the designated hitter, but will actually get to play the field on Friday. The 38-year-old will cover second base for the seventh time this season. He's also started at third base seven starts this season, but usually serves as the DH. The fact he's moving around to second base this often might give him that eligibility in fantasy leagues. Enrique Hernandez will head to the bench with Turner covering second base versus Kodai Senga on Friday.

Los Angeles Dodgers first baseman Freddie Freeman went 3-for-5 with a double, a triple and two runs scored in Monday's 6-4 win over the Baltimore Orioles. The 33-year-old singled and came around to score in the fourth inning before leading off the sixth frame with a triple, eventually crossing the plate once more. Freeman topped off a busy night at the dish with a seventh-inning double. On pace for his most stolen bases in a single year, the seven-time All-Star has thoroughly flourished as an elite five-category superstar this season. Freeman is slashing .318/.397/.555 with 17 home runs, an MLB-leading 33 doubles, 63 RBI, 12 swipes, and 74 runs scored over 371 at-bats in 2023. While Freeman has been sensational overall, he's now batting .375 with three homers, five doubles, one triple, nine RBI and one theft across his last eight outings (32 ABs).

Boston Red Sox third baseman/designated hitter Justin Turner is getting the starting nod at second base on Friday against Chicago Cubs right-hander Kyle Hendricks to kick off the second half of the season. He's hitting third in the batting order. Turner will make his first start at the keystone since 2015 as the Red Sox look for more offense entering the second half of the season. The 38-year-old veteran slugger is probably unlikely to gain second-base eligibility for fantasy managers, however. Turner is still a solid source of batting average (.288) and on-base percentage (.362) and can still provide decent power numbers (13 homers and 52 RBI) in his first year in Beantown. With Turner at second, Masataka Yoshida will serve as Boston's designated hitter on Friday.

Philadelphia Phillies All-Star reliever Craig Kimbrel will be available for Friday's contest against the San Diego Padres, according to manager Rob Thomson. The 35-year-old veteran threw 30 pitches in Tuesday's All-Star game while earning the save, but will get the next two days off during the All-Star break. Kimbrel is still dominant despite his age and owns a 3.41 ERA, 39.3% strikeout rate, 9.7% walk rate, and 0.97 WHIP with 14 saves across 37 innings. Fantasy managers should continue to start the former third-round pick in all formats.

Philadelphia Phillies relief pitcher Craig Kimbrel helped the National League All-Stars snap their losing streak in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the American League team. Kimbrel came in to pitch the ninth inning up by one. He got the first two outs on a fly-out and strikeout, allowed back-to-back walks, but ended the game with another strikeout. The veteran's ninth All-Star appearance helped the NL team secure their first win since 2012. Kimbrel has found his stride after a rough start to the season and ended the first half with 14 saves, a 3.41 ERA, and a 39.3% strikeout rate. He is the Phillies' arm to roster for fantasy managers in the second half.

Los Angeles Dodgers first baseman Freddie Freeman went 3-for-4 with a home run, a double, three RBI, two runs scored, and a stolen base in a 5-2 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates on Thursday. Freeman did a little bit of everything in this one, reminding everyone why he'll be starting in next week's All-Star game in Seattle. He put the Dodgers on the board in the bottom of the first inning with a two-run blast, his 15th of the season, off Johan Oviedo to score Mookie Betts. He would then provide an insurance run with an RBI single in the seventh to score Betts again and give the Dodgers a 5-2 lead. The 33-year-old also swiped a bag in this one. For the season, Freeman is slashing an absurd .320/.397/.542 with 15 home runs, 57 RBI, and 12 stolen bases across 347 at-bats on the season. That'll do just nicely.

Boston Red Sox manager Alex Cora said that infielder/designated hitter Justin Turner could be seen at second base in the coming days so that the team can maximize their offense. Christian Arroyo has been seeing most of the starts at the keystone for the BoSox, but he's hitting just .242 (36-for-149) with three homers, 18 RBI and a stolen base on the year. Turner, on the other hand, is slashing .279/.352/.460 with an .812 OPS, 13 homers, 47 RBI and four stolen bases. The 38-year-old veteran has appeared at second base in Boston only four times in 2023, but his last start there came in September of 2015. Fantasy managers shouldn't count on Turner gaining second-base eligibility for the second half of this year.

Philadelphia Phillies relief pitcher Craig Kimbrel notched his 13th save of the season in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Rays. Kimbrel came in to pitch the bottom of the ninth up by two and delivered a 1-2-3 inning with two strikeouts. The veteran got off to a shaky start to the season but has really picked things up, failing to blow a save with a 3.60 ERA and a 14.40 K/9 rate. At this point, he appears to be the lead for save opportunities for the Phillies and is worth a roster spot in all leagues.

New York Mets relief pitcher Adam Ottavino hurled a scoreless ninth inning to close out Saturday's 4-1 win versus the San Francisco Giants. The 37-year-old got J.D. Davis to ground out and lent a Patrick Bailey walk before inducing a Thairo Estrada double play to shut the door. Ottavino secured his sixth save of the season and first since May 26 in this one. The right-hander owns a middling 4.01 ERA, 1.19 WHIP, and 35:15 K:BB across 33 2/3 frames this year. Ottavino may see the occasional save chance, but David Robertson remains the favorite for closing scenarios in Queens.

Philadelphia Phillies right-handed pitcher Craig Kimbrel threw a clean ninth inning to pick up his 12th save of the season in a 3-1 win over the Chicago Cubs. Kimbrel struck out one and didn't allow a baserunner in his inning of work. He is down to a 3.82 ERA and 1.03 WHIP on the season with 53 strikeouts in 33 IP. Since the start of June, he has allowed just one earned run in 13 innings pitched and has a 21:3 K:BB ratio. The Phillies seem to be taking note of this, as he has been their preferred option in the ninth. He should get the majority of the save opportunities going forward, but Jose Alvarado may snatch a few here and there. He should be owned in all leagues where saves matter.

Boston Red Sox designated hitter Justin Turner went 2-for-4 at the plate on Wednesday against the Twins. Turner also collected two RBI, drew a walk and swiped a bag in the game. One of his two hits was a solo home run he smacked in the third frame off Minnesota's Sonny Gray. Despite being 38 years old, Turner is slashing .284/.364/.465. He's cracked 11 home runs and 40 RBI while collecting four stolen bases in 308 plate appearances during the 2023 campaign.

Boston Red Sox designated hitter Justin Turner is out of the starting lineup for Monday's game against the Minnesota Twins. Fantasy managers don't need to be concerned as this appears to be a routine rest day for the veteran infielder. Masataka Yoshida will function as the designated hitter, while Triston Casas covers first base versus right-hander Pablo Lopez on Monday. Fantasy managers should expect Turner to be back in the lineup after this game.

Boston Red Sox designated hitter Justin Turner cracked two homers and knocked in six RBI in a 15-5 win over the Yankees on Friday. Turner tied a career-high in RBI during a game and now has 15 multihomer contests. He's been on fire, recording at least one RBI in five consecutive contests, and he has slugged one or more hits in the past seven. In the last 15 games, the 38-year-old has posted a .328 batting average, hit four home runs, and logged 15 RBI in 61 plate appearances.

Philadelphia Phillies closer Craig Kimbrel picked up the save on Thursday when he worked a scoreless ninth inning while striking out one batter in a 5-4 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks. The 35-year-old veteran was brought in to protect a one-run lead in the ninth inning and made quick work of the three batters he faced. He struck out Josh Rojas before getting Jake McCarthy to fly out and Gabriel Moreno to ground out to end the ball game. Kimbrel is now a perfect 10-for-10 on save opportunities this year and should continue to be relevant in high-leverage situations moving forward, even with the return of Jose Alvarado. Kimbrel has a 4.67 ERA, 1.15 WHIP, and 42:13 K/BB ratio over 27 innings to go along with the aforementioned 10 saves.

The 39-year-old pitched 5 2/3 innings, allowing no runs on four hits and three walks with eight strikeouts. However, Raisel Iglesias could not close things out with a three-run lead, ending in an eventual loss. While his 3.60 ERA and 10.20 K/9 rate look solid overall, Morton has been inconsistent at times throughout the season. He will have the opportunity to build off of this strong start in his next scheduled start at home against the Rockies.
