Blanco (neck) is in the lineup Wednesday, batting second as the Giants' left fielder.
Blanco has dealt with a slew of ailments over the last week, including a neck issue that sidelined him for Tuesday's contest. The issue proved to be minor, however, as he's already back in the lineup Wednesday, but he'll have the tough task of facing Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw.

Giants manager Bruce Bochy said that Blanco, who is out of Tuesday's lineup against the Dodgers, is dealing with a neck issue, John Dickinson of 95.7 The Game reports.
Blanco, who is hitting a solid .294 with a .375 on-base percentage this season, had started the previous four games in center field before sitting Tuesday. All indications from Bochy are that Blanco's injury is minor, but with the Giants returning Angel Pagan from the DL on Tuesday and acquiring Alejandro De Aza, at-bats may grow more scarce in September for Blanco.

Blanco went 2-for-6 with his 13th stolen base of the season in Monday's 14-inning loss to the Dodgers.
Blanco returned from a hip injury last Friday and has now collected three multi-hit games over that span. He should continue to see starts down the stretch, however, with the return of Angel Pagan (knee) and the addition of Alejandro De Aza, San Francisco's outfield has become crowded and playing time could be erratic for all involved.
Fri Aug 28 201519:32Blanco (hip) in lineup Friday against Cardinals
Blanco (hip) is in the lineup Friday against the Cardinals.
Blanco had missed two consecutive games coming into Friday due to a left hip strain, but the veteran outfielder will be back in the lineup Friday against Michael Wacha and the Cardinals. Blanco's return to the lineup is a welcome sight for Giants fans as the team has been battling a number of injuries lately, especially in the outfield.
Thu Aug 27 201513:50Blanco (hip) not in lineup Thursday
Blanco (hip) is not in the lineup Thursday, CSN Bay Area's Alex Pavlovic reports.
He was a late scratch from Wednesday's game due to the hip strain and he will be sidelined once again Thursday. Juan Perez received the start in center field Thursday.

Wed Aug 26 201520:56Blanco (hip) late scratch from Wednesday's lineup
Blanco (hip) was a late scratch from Wednesday's lineup, Andrew Baggarly of the Bay Area News Group reports.
Blanco is apparently suffering from a left hip strain, which will prevent him from manning center field as originally planned. Consider him day-to-day leading up to Thursday's series finale against the Cubs.

Blanco was dropped to eighth in the order Friday, going 2-for-3 with a double and a pair of runs scored in the win over the Pirates.
Nori Aoki (leg) returned from the disabled list and pushed Blanco to a less-desirable spot in the lineup. While there was a lefty on the mound Friday, Blanco remains in the bottom third of the order against a righty on Saturday. While he has been a great fill-in for stretches this season, he may be the odd man out with the return of Aoki, the acquisition of Marlon Byrd, and the impending return of Angel Pagan (knee). If you have been benefiting from Blanco's solid play this year, continue to ride him out, just be prepared to jump ship once the outfield is back at full strength, as there is a chance he could get pushed back into a reserve role.
Wed Aug 19 201516:38Blanco out of lineup Wednesday
Blanco is out of the lineup Wednesday.
It sounds like the Giants are just giving Blanco a day to rest as he has been carrying an unusually heavy workload due to the bevvy of injuries to other Giants outfielders. Juan Perez will get the start in center field in his place.

Blanco had another strong game Saturday, going 3-for-5 with an RBI, three runs scored and a stolen base in a 12-6 blowout over Washington.
Blanco is running wild in the leadoff spot right now, scoring seven runs and stealing three bases in his last three games. While this probably won't last for long with Norichika Aoki returning shortly, Blanco is a great add for next week's games if you're in need of runs or steals.

Blanco went 3-for-5 with two doubles, two RBI, two runs scored, and a stolen base in an 8-5 win over the Nationals on Friday.
Blanco contributed all across the board and he has the ability to do that when batting atop the Giants lineup. He should continue to get regular starts with Norichika Aoki and Angel Pagan on the DL and he could be a sneaky add in mixed leagues for the next couple of weeks with his multi-cat profile.

Blanco led off and went 1-for-3 with a walk and his eighth stolen base of the season Tuesday.
Blanco is back to seeing an everyday role with Angel Pagan (knee) being placed on the disabled list Tuesday. He will man center for the Giants and should have deeper league value with his ability to get on base (.286/.366/.402) and steal bases.

Blanco will likely move back into a reserve role when Nori Aoki (leg) is activated from the disabled list.
Blanco has done a respectable job filling in for Aoki this past month, batting .298 with 14 runs, two homers, and 11 RBI since June 19. But with all reports indicating that Aoki will be reinstated prior to Monday's game, Blanco will be pushed back into a fourth outfielder role, eliminating the boost in fantasy value he received this past month. He will be the first option to fill in should any of the Giants' starting outfielders go down.
Tue Jul 21 201519:06Blanco 1-4 with third home run in Monday's loss to Padres
Blanco went 1-for-4 with his third home run in Monday's loss to the Padres.
Blanco received Sunday off with a lefty on the mound. He has been platooning in left field with Justin Maxwell, but both will see a significant drop in playing time when Nori Aoki (leg) returns from the disabled list. Recent reports have Aoki returning this Friday, so Blanco's recent stretch of being fantasy relevant will likely come to a close by the end of the week.
Sun Jul 12 201514:29Blanco out of lineup Sunday against Phillies
Blanco is out of the lineup Sunday against the Phillies.
Blanco continues to serve as the primary left fielder for the Giants, but he's been scuffling lately. Brandon Belt will move to left field Sunday, while Posey will come out from behind the plate to play first, and Andrew Susac will catch.

Blanco batted leadoff and went 2-for-4 with his second home run of the season Friday.
Blanco continues to see regular playing time with both Nori Aoki (leg) and Hunter Pence (arm) sidelined. He has deeper league value due to his speed and ability to get on base (.384 OBP), but Blanco will occasionally go yard like he did Friday.
Fri Jun 26 201519:23Blanco will bat leadoff Friday against Rockies
Blanco will bat leadoff Friday against the Rockies.
Angel Pagan was scratched from the lineup, opening the door for Blanco to move up for his eighth start atop the order this season. Blanco has been very good in his previous seven starts in the leadoff spot, going 12-for-29 (.414 average) with four doubles, a homer and eight runs scored.

Blanco batted leadoff and went 2-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI in Tuesday's loss to the Padres.
With news that Nori Aoki (leg) will miss a minimum of two weeks, Blanco should see an everyday role batting leadoff for the Giants. With a .283/.361/.417 slash line coupled with his ability to swipe bags, Blanco should have deep league value while Aoki is sidelined.

Blanco returned from the 7-day concussion disabled list Friday and went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored against the Dodgers.
It was the first time the 31-year-old had taken the field since Jun. 7, but he showed no signs of rust and was able to contribute to the Giants' win. Blanco is likely to platoon with Justin Maxwell in right field until Hunter Pence returns from the disabled list.

Blanco (concussion) is in the lineup Friday and will bat eighth for the Giants against the Dodgers, Alex Pavlovic of CSN Bay Area reports.
Blanco has been sidelined with a concussion for over a week, but it was announced earlier Friday that he would be activated from the disabled list. It now appears the move is official, as he'll slot back in right field for the Giants. Jarrett Parker appears to be the odd man out, as his name was not present on the lineup card.
