Loney drove in all three runs on a home run in the first inning off Tigers ace Max Scherzer. The 30-year-old is on a relative power binge with two long balls and five RBI over his last four games, but as a whole, he's bringing his typical high-average, good defense and minimal power profile to the table yet again this season.

Loney was 3-for-5 with two RBI and a run Wednesday in a 10-2 win against the Rangers.

Wednesday was Loney's fifth multi-hit game of August. The 30-year-old doesn't fit the power profile of a first baseman, but is hitting .327 this month.
