F Luol Deng exited in the second half Wednesday due to a left wrist injury. Coach Erik Spoelstra did not know the extent of the ailment.Spoelstra said the writer was X-rayed and that there would be an MRI exam Thursday.Deng scored four points in 24 minutes Wednesday.

F DeMarre Carroll sustained a left wrist contustion on a third-quarter fall Wednesday. X-rays were negative.Carroll, who had six points, six rebounds and four personal fouls in 26 minutes, did not return after getting hurt.

F/C Amar'e Stoudemire was given the start at center Wednesday in the Heat's 99-91 loss to the Raptors for Game 5 of the Eastern Conference semifinal when C Hassan Whiteside (sprained right MCL) stayed in Miami to receive rest and treatment. Stoudemire lasted three minutes and 10 seconds into the game before he was replaced by F Josh McRoberts with the Raptors leading 9-0. Stoudemire never returned, finishing with no points and one rebound. With Whiteside also sidelined for Game 4, Stoudemire played 12:24 in a Heat win, contributing six points and three rebounds despite being a minus-6.
